Pet care experience
I have a Licensed hobby kennel. I recently graduated from NW School of Canine Studies, which is an intensive course in canine behavior. I have years of experience in positive, force free dog training, I have successfully competed with my dogs in conformation, agility, rally, and obedience. I have a special interest in canine geriatrics and in canine nutrition. I believe proper exercise and mental stimulation solve many canine behavior problems. My dogs get daily runs in our large fenced field, or a hike along the river, as well as play training and puzzle solving. I love to help owners understand that digging, chewing, barking, etc, are just normal dog behaviors and owners need to find a substitute behavior that are acceptable to both parties. I believe in leadership, not dominance.

Cris was fantastic. We had a short time frame before a weekend trip and felt very comfortable leaving Thora with her after our meet and greet. We received plenty of pictures and updates to let us know that Thora was being taken care of. Cris gave Thora plenty of attention and exercise. She has a huge yard with plenty of things to keep dogs occupied. We would leave Thora with Cris any time and recommend her to anyone.

A typical day
Days can get long and lonely for your Buddy when his people are at work or school. I'd love to help fill his time with walks on the trails in the Orting, Graham, Kapowsin area. Walks are not forced marches, but explorations depending on the dog's wants and needs, I walk one dog at a time, unless there are two in a family. We also might play tug, chase toys, and learn fun new skills. At my home dogs get to explore 5 acres and play in several fenced yards, including my large play field with the opportunity to learn basic agility skills. Emphasis is always on safety and fun!
