Very experienced dog person from puppies to mature
Pet care experience
I have previously owned two dogs who both lived to a mature age. My first dog was a border collie, a rescue dog that lived to 17 years. My second dog, a golden retriever, I had from a young puppy and she lived to 15.5 years. I have experience of training young puppies and dealing with dogs at all stages of their lives, including senior dog care. The golden retriever died last year so there are currently no other dogs in the house.

We were totally delighted with the care provided to Glen whilst staying with Craig. We returned from our week away to find Glen very relaxed & happy and have already booked him in for a second visit! All the arrangements were very straightforward - we would highly recommend Craig as a dog sitter.
Craig has owned two dogs and both lived to the age of fifteen, which is certainly unusual for a golden retriever. This is testament to how well he looked after his dogs, with regular walks, good nutrition and regular health checks at the vets. Craig has also looked after two dogs for other people; once for about 6 months while the owner was relocating; and once when an owner went on holiday. Craig loves dogs and would be a great pet caregiver
Craig looked after my dog when I needed to travel. I always felt completely at ease leaving Bella in his care and she loved staying with him and his wife. She was quite a nervous and needy dog but each time I collected her from a stay with Craig she seemed relaxed and happy which is exactly what you hope for isn't it? I think this was down to Craig's own gentle and caring nature and love of the outdoors. The relationship between them was so good that Craig and his wife were inspired to get their own dog! I would wholeheartedly recommend Craig as a dog sitter - your dog is in for a real treat!

I have a fenced area at the rear of the house, so a dog can safely go out as and when required. I can walk the dog 2-4 times a day as needed. Indoors, the dog can be fed in the kitchen or utility room. I have a dog crate that can be set up if needed. A dog can share the house with us and I am OK if they go on the furniture. With my own previous dogs, I discouraged them going on the beds and I can ensure that all the bedroom doors are closed.
