"I'll Take the Dogs Out"

Pet care experience

There has been a dog/cat in my home since I was 9 years old. Many times I've had two! I love dogs because of their unique personalities and friendly disposition. My current fur buddy is a 20# Cockapoo who is 11 years old. and I've had him since puppyhood. I share an ACD 40# (Red Heeler) with my son...when he lets me keep her. <wink> She's 5 years old. I like to take walks with my dog/s every day. Exercise for BOTH of us!! I love dogs!

If you’re looking for a caring, passionate, and responsible dog caregiver, I would highly recommend Craig! He’s got such a heart for our furry little family members and will take the BEST of care with yours too!

I've worked with Craig P. for 8 plus years and in that time I have seen him provide excellent customer service on multiple occasions. He is responsible, attentive, detail oriented, honest, caring and loyal. He would make a great addition to your team.

Craig has a love for animals, especially dogs. He is compassionate and caring. His pups are well loved and cared for. Over the years I have seen his dedication to his fur babies. He will certainly take great care of your furry friends!

I would care for your pets in your home. They will be fed/watered and IF they have to take oral meds, I'd be happy to do that too. No injections. IF I stay in your home overnight, your pet will be accompanied by mine. All dogs will be walked/exercised and supervised. IF you want me to take them to the "doggie park", you must provide the transportation. (My car isn't suitable to transport dogs)

Information Craig P. would like to know about your pet

I'm interested in well-behaved dogs that are not aggressive. Sorry, no Pit Bulls or Pit-mixes. My profile states small dogs but I'm willing to go up to about 75# or so. (I may go slightly higher if your dog is a Golden Retriever or Setter.) IF your dog is a "leash puller" I may have to work with them on that. I want your dog to sit calmly by my side when I stop during our walks. So...you get some FREE training too!!

A typical day

I'll arrive at your home and check your water/food levels for your dog. Then, we'll go for a walk in the neighborhood experiencing all the sights/smells it has to offer. I try to vary the walk each time to see new things in your neighborhood. In good weather, the walks may be a little longer. I'll pick up after your dog during the walk, of course. IF you wish me to take your dog to the doggie park, I ask that you provide the transportation. I provide treats/rewards for your dog too. Photos on our walk will be sent to you.

I'm a retired professional boat captain. To keep busy, I've been a substitute school teacher locally. During the school year, I generally have classes until 3pm and I'd be available to work with your dog from approximately 4pm to 9pm Mon-Fri. On weekends, I'm flexible to a degree but I'm busy about 2-3 Saturday evenings each month. Sundays are my day off for church and to spend quality time with my dog. (However, in a "special circumstance" I'd be willing to schedule something to help you out.) Summertime, I'm pretty flexible but I do take vacations too.
