I didn’t have the opportunity to meet Courtney in person, but she seems like a sweet person. I appreciated getting 3 pictures of Opie over the three days we had her house sit and look after him. I will bear some burden on the things I had issue with as this was an emergency need and I was able to get her last minute which was helpful. So for that I’m grateful. The part I was bummed about was the lack of communication about her arriving considerably late to the house initially made my husband missed his first connection out of Columbia and had to drive to Charlotte to catch his connection and reroute his return flight to make it for a work meeting out of state. But after ducking into the break room at the hospital I tried messaging her and she eventually responded and said she was running late from work. The second issue that I hadn’t initially thought to bring up was her allowing her friends into the house BEFORE asking permission (she never did ask if people could come over). Personally, I hadn’t personally met her so I didn’t feel comfortable having guys coming over late at night. One, Opie can be a pain about barking because of visitors and two, it’s our home, you should always ask permission. Otherwise, Opie seemed ok. We wanted a house sitter to have someone actually home to take Opie on walks and keep him entertained and happy. No walks happened. So that was also a bummer. And she worked a good portion of the second half of the second day - but she had warned me about that. All in all, this was my first experience using Rover. Courtney appears to be a sweet, fun loving, hard working person, and I might have had a better experience had I been more specific about my expectations. But I know that now for the future.

Courtney is so great with animals! I hired her for the weekend and she left my house cleaner than when I left! I am so grateful for her!
