Hello everyone, my name is Courtney :) i am very excited to start with rover because ever since I was a little girl I have just adored dogs. I grew up owning several different and special dog breeds -from small, medium and large kinds. In addition to being a dog mom, I would always babysit my friends and family's dogs for them and I thought to myself if I could do this as a career for the rest of my life, it would be a blessing. I have also been lucky to do some volunteer work at The humane society of San Diego and Tampa bay as a "canine companion." I attended some classes that focused on behavior, cleaning and exercise. During training I learned how to properly hold a leash, what to do in case of an emergency and how to avoid one. The class also gave us a chart that taught us many of the different expressions, body postures and noises that dogs make and what they mean. After I finished training, my job was to visit each of the individual dog habitats and care for them. I was responsible for feeding, walking and cleaning up after the dogs . For me it is so interesting to learn all the personalities, traits and mannerisms of these little guys. It truly fills my heart with joy being around dogs, and I would love to walk your dog for you and also give him lots of love and company while you are busy. I have a fur baby of my own so I understand how important your dogs time and care is to you. So together we can construct a fun and safe session that is complacent to your dogs needs. Whether this includes dog parks, hikes, dog beaches (Coronado & Ocean Beach) or Fiesta Island, we can come up with a plan that works best for you.
