"Dog mom"
Pet care experience
I am an only child, so my pets became my best friends at an early age. My husband, Jose, and I moved to NC in 2015. I was born in raised in Lafayette, Indiana aka the Hoosier Heartland. Although we do not have children of our own yet, we have 2 amazing fur babes: Zane aka #greatzane (8yrs) and Melek aka #melcatastrophe (5yrs). Just like any good dog-mom I like to brag about my fur kids! Zane is now the easy child, but before Mel came along that was not always the case. He is a morning dog, likes to shred toilet paper rolls, steal blankets, paw at you when he wants your undivided attention and hold your hand. Mel on the other hand tends to be a whole lot. He is much more independent until he wants something. He is more confident than Zane so tends to lead the pack below Jose and myself. Mel enjoys talking to you (hound talk), chasing squirrels outside, smelling new things and running in an open field. No joke. He loves open fields especially with tall grass. Outside of working FT job, Jose and I love to travel to new places in the area. We have not done a great deal of long distance traveling but we hope to in the future! We like finding local parks, restaurants, breweries, etc. that are dog friendly. We love being outside and working on our new home here in Landis! I really believe you will find me to be someone you can trust with you pets. Most people who know me will tell you that I am down to earth, trust worthy and caring. The easiest thing for me to do, is love your pet. Honestly, I love animals and I care about how they are treated. While taking care of your pet, you can rest assured I am treating them as I treat my own! I am not partial to any breeds or sizes of dogs as I have been around them all. Growing up I volunteered at a local animal shelter and later worked at a well-known kennel and boarding facility in Indiana. I learned a lot in these environments which has helped me to understand different breeds, anxieties, medical conditions/treatments and essentially what not to do. I currently work FT at a medical office. My current availability is before and after work hours (7:30-4:30) M-F and open weekends. My husband (who is an avid dog lover as well) and I work as a team trying to manage our days best as possible. If I know my he will be able to help based on his schedule, I may ask to bring him along for our initial meet and great with you and your pet(s). I would also understand if this is something you may not consider. Finally, I will say it is my personal opinion that animals thrive within their own environment. I think boarding (although there are always exceptions) is very stressful for pets. I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pets for any pet sitting or assistance you may need! Cheers :)

Courtney is such a compassionate and loving dog sitter. My Australian Shepherd, Cruz, just loves her. She takes him on walks, and feeds him his regular meals when we are away. It sets my heart at ease to know she is taking care of him when we are away. I don't have to worry about what he is up to! If you are looking for a sweet and loveable animal caretaker Courtney is the gal for you!
Courtney house sat my cat, sent pictures and updated me several times a day about Giselle’s activities for the day. She spent extra time and treated her as if she were her own. Courtney will always be my number one pet sitter, she’s the best. Carol Quesinberry
Courtney is wonderful! She takes care of all of my fur babies including my cats and tortoise. She goes above and beyond each time she takes care of my pets. This includes walks, snuggles, playtime and administers medications as needed. My pets absolutely love her and get so excited when she comes to visit!
I have known Courtney all her life - she is one of the nicest, kindest people I know and that attitude most definitely carries over into her love of animals. I would not hesitate to trust her with my fur babies!!

Information Courtney S. would like to know about your pet
-No breed preferences -I would want to know their personality and demeanor with strangers, other dogs etc. -I would want to know if they have any allergies or health concerns - I would want to know if they have any specific fears or triggers that could cause any concern -emergency vet contact information **I would only be asking these questions so I am aware when I am with you dog and you are not present.
A typical day
-We could walk around the neighborhood or local park(s). -We could go get ice cream or run any errands your owner may have that are dog friendly (Lowes, Home Depot, pet stores etc.) -If approved by owner, we could go to a dog park you are familiar with and enjoy. -I could brush you coat or give you a basic bath outside in a kiddie pool (which I already have available) or I could take you to a self-bathing center (Petco) -I can play catch with you, feed you, ride my bike with you etc.
