Pet care experience
I have had a passion for pups since I can remember, and I've been around different types of dogs my whole life. I've watched friends' dogs countless times, and I'm a full-time dog momma to my mixed-breed, Sully. I am fascinated by dog psychology, how dogs communicate, and positive, cruelty-free training. I have done a ton of research on these subjects, and I love putting those theories into practice. I have also apprenticed with a local trainer and currently volunteer with shelter dogs. For me, there is no greater thrill than opening the line of communication between dog and owner. Although we are not born speaking the same language, we can certainly try to bridge the gap. Courtney was outstanding! She came prepared with her own list of questions to insure that she knew everything about our pups. Also, she sent us pictures of our babies while we were away which was wonderful. I highly recommend her as your sitter and would absolutely use her again.
Courtney Ray can not pass a dog without gushing with excitement and neither can any dog that crosses her path. She is the kindest woman I have ever met and every dog can sense just that about her and are always willing to be embraced by her. She will care for your furry best friend as if it were her own child and I can attest to that because she has cared for many animals in her life and each one lived a happy existence. She is the perfect candidate because she has experience in self-training her own dog with positive results, and she has assisted others in caring for their animals when needed. She will be a great friend for your pet and she will take care of them so they are never put into harms way.

I don't have any breed preferences, however I would like to know if there are any behavioral issues I should be aware of. Such as, does your pup play well with other dogs? Are they afraid of children or loud noises? Are they timid around strangers or in new environments? And of course please let me know anything you think I need to know. None of these things will necessarily prevent me from taking your dog on, but I'd love to know as much about your fur baby as I can to ensure we all have a great time.
A typical day
If you're nearby, we'll take advantage of the beautiful parks here in Anniston. I also love a good game of fetch. After all, a tired dog is a happy dog! We'll also tackle some tricks, work on obedience, and do some quality snuggling. Helping dogs be the best version of themselves is one of my favorite things!
