Your pet will adore my calm energy

Pet care experience

I'm responsible, reliable, trustworthy, and loving. I simply cannot pay back all the things an animal will provide one in a lifetime. I’m an animal lover and born nurturer, and I enjoy all things pets! (Currently caring for a bunny a pup and some fishies of my own) I’ve never known a life without animals and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Also a college student (studying art therapy) at the moment :) and I have a pretty flexible schedule. *I have experience with dogs of all variety and size* (massive might be difficult depending on the dogs demeanor) but this is negotiable Please message me with any questions you may have, and feel free to follow my Facebook account "Courtney's Doggy Business” for more pics of my rover journey.

We had a great experience with Courtney! She stayed to take care of our dog while we were away and did a great job at keeping us updated and our puppy happy! She even left homemade treats for him in the fridge when we returned. I would definitely recommend her!

Loved that we received updates and pictures throughout the day, both pups seemed happy and will definitely book again!

Courtney has been the biggest blessing! My husband and I have a dog Rudy who has seizures and requires a pretty detailed routine/schedule. She has been so great with Rudy and always gives us updates with pictures/how the day and night are going. She is very reliable. Rudy had a seizure while Courtney was here and she cleaned up his little mess he made during it better than we would have. We felt so relieved having her there with him. She has a calming presence and Rudy loves her. We can not recommend Courtney enough.

While staying at a clients home I am sure to pay very close attention to what the animal may need at any given time. It varies immensely from pet to pet, but because there is a change in schedule and the animal is now adjusting to their expected owners not being there, it is important to me to create the environment the pet is used to experiencing. Almost as if the owner never left. Whatever that may be or may entail to ensure the animals comfortability. Ex. Calm time in the crate, scheduled potty breaks and play time, walk and energy release, scheduled treat time/reward etc.

Information Courtney P. would like to know about your pet

Ahead of time I would just love to know if your dog or pet has any special requirements whether it be medication related or physical/emotional assistance due to age or past history. Also if you have a fenced in yard. And any commands you have for your dog you’d like me to use while sitting. +anything else you can think of as the owner!

A typical day

It depends on the dog or pet that I’m watching but activities on any given day can consist of walks around the neighborhood or local parks, play time, and treats. Also all the snuggles and scratches. And of course squirrel watching. Gotta keep the squirrels in line. One of my favorite ways to keep a dog entertained is to stuff a kong toy. It tires them out and keeps the dogs minds active. Great for puppies, and I have a couple great recipes for that as well that they love!

Rover has grown to become such a big part of my life that it’s become my full time job! However, I still have a very open and flexible schedule at the moment, and am readily available to do overnight stays, drop in visits and or walks depending on distance.
