Adventurer ISO hairy friends

Pet care experience

I moved from Boston almost two years ago, and my own dog has shown me that she’s good with other animals, we’ve done a bit of sitting with her coming along. She’s a small thing that is very well house-trained and is great at not getting into people things. She doesn’t even tear up her own toys. I also grew up with dogs (westie, cairn, chocolate lab/weimeraner mix) and am used to breeds of all sizes. I usually do overnights, including walks (my GSD neice Ava and I would do two-hour treks), cuddling and other storm anxiety management, medications, etc. I really miss being around dogs, and would love to help you and your little buddy (or buddies) out. I'll also take care of other pets, including cats, chickens, rodents, lizards, and insects and arachnids. I work later in the day, so would be available for morning walks, a mid-afternooner, and evenings. If your dog is lower-energy, and doesn't want as many walks (or walks of different lengths), that's fine too. My per-night price includes walks, and other pets.

Courtney was great with our dogs. One was feeling under the weather and Courtney took extra time to be sure she was doing okay and keeping us updated. Definitely felt that they were in good hands and will rebook the next time we go away.

Most pet owners have general anxiety when they vacation without their pet ESPECIALLY when they go somewhere that has no cell reception. However, last weekend I attended a wedding in Maine, in the woods, with no reception, and I was completely confident and didn’t worry for a second because I knew my pet was safe and happy with Courtney!

Courtney is terrific! Super communicative, sends pics of my little goon of a dog, and keep me in the loop all the time. Can’t wait to book her again and be certain my pup is happy and taken care of.

Information Courtney M. would like to know about your pet

General demeanor, if there is any behavior in particular to watch out for (chasing cats, squirrels, storm anxiety, etc), activity level, medical issues. Breed preferences...we all have our favorites, right? But some close to my heart are Cairn Terriers (my old man died in March of 2017), Corgis, and German Shepherds.

A typical day

I'm new to the area, so would love to take your dog exploring. If they have social issues with other dogs, I do have a lot of experience with that and managing to get my 115lb buddy to just go a different direction. Woods exploration and hiking are strong possibilities, as well as dog play days if they are good with others. I'm playful and love spending lots of positive time with dogs...and I sing to them in narrative (shhhh, it's totally dorky).
