Courtney is my favorite dog sitter of all time. I really wish that she still lived in California, so that I could continue to leave my dogs with her. I swear, they had more fun at her house than they ever do with me. Also, Courtney used to be a vet tech, and I could always trust her with my dogs' medicine. She even helped me out with my cat once, during a medical emergency. I trust her implicitly, and her kids are really great with dogs, too. I haven't found a good replacement for her, and now my ability to travel is limited; I only trust friends with my dogs these days. I've heard about dog sitters that basically crate dogs when you drop them off. Courtney had my dogs up on the couch, bought them treats, sent them home with presents; she would give me updates when I'd check-in, and I'd receive the occasional cute picture just because... It was more like a 24 hour doggy daycare than dog-sitting or boarding. She clearly loves and understands dogs. I also just liked working with her. She was efficient, and professional, clear in her communication. If she said she'd do something, she did it. All things told, she's really great at what she does. You're lucky if you live close enough to her to have her dog sit for you. I wish she'd come back to CA; she's missed here, and there's a new puppy she has never even met!
