Want to teach your dog Korean?

Pet care experience

Hello Rover Fam! My name is Courtney, I'm a former Vice President of Sales at a media company, turned part-time turned dog nanny. For all whom don't know me yet, I am an extremely genuine, but also unscripted person. Somehow this has helped my sales career, and still baffles me to this day. Now I could start this with a great sales pitch like, "If you want someone who can teach your dog to pee standing up and speak korean, book with me now - " BUT thats not how I roll, and I don't think either of those things are very probable. So heres the raw version... My best friend (a brindle french bulldog named luna) was diagnosed with a fatal disease, GME. The disease replicates meningitis of the brain. For the last 2 years I have invested everything I have (including my mind) in keeping her alive. Dozens of hospital visits, a kitchen stocked pharmacy, experimental therapies, and lots and lots of tears. All while trying to balance the demands of a high stress job. Long story short, I decided that while there were many perks to having this high level position, my work was never finished when I got home. I could no longer fathom the thought of not being present when I had no idea how much time was left with my best friend. For those still reading, thank you for listening. I may not be the person to teach your dog korean, but I am the person who has an extremely big heart and will cherish every moment with your loved ones!

Courtney is the most loving dog mom/caretaker I’ve ever encountered. She has had up to 4 dogs at one time, and each were incredibly happy and well taken care of. She does it all- from cooking all natural meals for the dogs, playing with them constantly, taking them for long walks at the park, and administering medication for those that need it. She’s a true lover of animals, and goes out of her way to make sure they are happy and comfortable. She raised an amazing dog, Luna, that was diagnosed with a genetic brain disease at age 2. She was told that Luna would likely not make it— But Courtney researched every medication and route possible, and worked very hard to get her to eventually recover and become extremely healthy and happy again. She knows how to deal with a variety of specialized needs for each dog, and is prepared for any type of urgent care necessary. I would feel comfortable and safe knowing my dog was in her hands— I’d just worry they end up liking her more than me! :)
