Pet care experience
I grew up in the country of East TN with a gaggle of dogs and cats around in addition to a slew of smaller animals; I love animals! I understand that loving a pet well requires a balance of spoiling and structure. I have trained multiple dogs between my own and my family, and do well with sticking to behavioral plans. I understand that each pet (and owner) has its own personality and set of needs which I'm prepared to meet!

I prefer to mirror the routine your pet is accustomed to. If I am not able to provide that in my home, I will prefer to look after them in their own environment. I do have a large outdoor space at my home, but it is not fenced. I live in a pedestrian and pet-friendly neighborhood full of sidewalks and dog parks! If your dog likes to hike I will be happy to take them to the trails, if they enjoy socializing on a patio I will be happy to have them along. I'm here to meet the needs of your pet!

The most important things for me to know are the following: - How does your dog do on a leash? - How does your dog do in public with other dogs? - Are their any medical complications or needs? Heartworms, medication, wounds healing, diet restrictions, special potty needs?
A typical day
I will always take your pet's usual routine and preferences into consideration. Needs to run wild at the dog park or go for a vigorous jog- we can do that! Couch potato- got it covered! Just wants to stroll around the neighborhood and chew on their favorite toy- that's all good! Likes to get out and socialize at the dog park or in town- let's go! I work long days during the week, but am fully available if you book an overnight with me on the weekend!

Availability
I do work full-time days during the week (except for summer) but have evening availability for walking and check-ins. I can stay overnight during the week, but will be away during the work day. Please note that overnight house sitting does not mean I stay with your pets 24/7; however, I can accommodate this need for an additional charge!
