Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs and cats my entire life. At one point I’ve had a dog, cat, and two Guinea pigs living in the same studio apartment. Last year I fostered a tri-legged pup through MACC which got my foot in the door to Rover! I’m the go to person for my friends and family when they need someone to dog sit.

I have a fenced backyard which is perfect for the morning playtime and afternoon zoomies. Seriously the amount of toys my dog has is crazy. I’ve got stuff for the chewers, destroyers, tuggers, and chasers. I can play with, snuggle, and brush your pup to their hearts’s content.

If I am watching your pup during the school week, they will be alone for several hours. I’d prefer if your pup is crate trained to help them feel more secure while I’m out of the house. This isn’t a deal breaker, but if you know your dog isn’t great being left alone during the day, I may not be the best fit for your family. During breaks from school I will be home more than not though! Feel free to ask if I’m on break when requesting weekdays if that would make you more comfortable.
A typical day
Each morning starts with an hour of outside time before work and breakfast. We will play and relax as much as needed. If weather and the sun permits, I can take your dog for walks around the neighborhood for extra exercise.

Availability
My pup is my favorite thing in the world, and i love to spend as much time as i can with her. I am an elementary school teacher, so your pup would have quiet alone time from about 7-4 each day. There are so many toys and enrichment puzzles to keep your pup active during that time. My toy Aussie is almost 4 years old and loves making friends. As a Aussie though she is obviously obsessed with catching her tennis balls. Weekends are all about the pups, and during the fall/winter time I have several breaks off from school.
