Vet tech with a big backyard!

Pet care experience

I am a lifelong animal lover with a degree in Animal and Veterinary Science and over 15 years of professional animal care experience. I worked in a small and large animal clinic for over 3 years and have experience with basic first aid, medication administration (oral and IM), bandaging and grooming. I used to assist the lead dog trainer at a training and boarding facility in Phoenix Arizona and I miss all the dogs I got to interact with there! I have had animals of all shapes and sizes my entire life and definitely plan on keeping them around for the rest of it! I have 3 dogs who need all the exercise they can get (and then some!)... we’d love to make your dogs day a little brighter! I also have five cats, a lizard and a horse so I'm no stranger to all walks of animal life. To me, my day isn't complete if I don't get to spend it with an animal... no matter the species! Someone is always home so no one is ever left alone. Our house is set up nicely to allow any of our guests time to relax without being bothered if necessary. We also have a big fenced yard for everyone to romp in and we live in a quiet neighborhood that is perfect for walks. For boarders it’s important to note that I do have cats! I can only take in dogs who are cat friendly/neutral. :) For kitty sitting, I do adjust my rates down if you have multiple cats since I don’t have to go as frequently and I don’t usually have to take them for walks! With that... I have experience with cats, livestock (including the big 3: large animals, swine and poultry!), reptiles and fish so if you need your non-canine friends taken care of, I’m your gal! Just message me and we can get started! Rover gives us the ability to adjust our rates according to our guests and I’m incredibly flexible. I have reliable and safe transportation and a flexible schedule so I will make it work if I can! PSA: Please make sure your furry friends are UTD on their flea treatment! No one wants to have to mess around with a flea infestation.

Courtney is a dedicated person who truly wants the best for animals. We left our 2 dogs at Courtney's for 8 days. They came home happy, loved and well taken care of. Thank you to Courtney and family for such wonderful care of our two dogs, Kibbie and Lulu! We will most definitely use Courtney's service again!

My pups were again treated like family at Courtney’s. Courtney and Sebastian are so accommodating and easy to communicate with. My dogs seem at ease there, and I enjoy the pictures Courtney sends.

Courtney did a great job with our dogs! She was awesome at communicating with us for drop, throughout the stay, and pick up. I will definitely book with her again!

Information Courtney C. would like to know about your pet

How do they do with other animals? Do they have any special needs or quirks I should know about (marking, barking, destructive tendencies etc)? What are their favorite activities (tug, cuddling, fetch etc)?

A typical day

I always try to find parks and greenbelts because they tend to be cooler (temperature and scenery) and have more things to sniff! I always bring fresh water and a portable bowl with me just in case. If your dog likes to hike or jog, we do too! If we need to take it low and slow or need some extra attention, no big deal -- I'm very patient. When staying with me, dogs will be walked at least twice per day (depending on the weather and the dog, it could be more!) and let out as needed... if we need to stay inside, lots of cuddling on the couch will be had by all! Each dog is different so each stay will vary depending on their personalities. I also offer bathing services if your dog needs it (if we get into a sticky, icky or messy situation, I will bathe free of charge using hypoallergenic, natural dog shampoo and conditioner).

For boarding, my significant other works from home so no one is ever left alone. I am a student with a wacky schedule but can generally be pretty flexible to make sure everyone has extra attention, too.
