Pet care experience
No discrimination here! All dogs need love, the young, the mature, and the occasional window licker too. I have always had a dog in my life, from my Childhood pet to my very own prince Charming. Our house is extremely dog friendly, we sit on a little under an acre of fenced in land. The garage is set up with 2 dog doors for their convenience. Inside the house we have built in gates to separate guests if needed. Not all dogs get along... My services include overnight boarding, and walking for now. We have 4 dogs of our own, which are well socialized and love meeting new friends! Onyx, is our lovable Lab middle child. Sassafras is a sweetheart, we were told she is a German Shepard mix. Onyx and Sassafras are the Pack Ambassadors, that Meet and Greet our house guests first. Charlie is an older Pitbull that keeps to herself, and Tucker doesn't know how big he is, and can be a little overwhelming. Additional Fees: Unavailable for a Meet & Greet - $25.00 Unaltered (not spayed or neutered) $45.00 Last Minute Booking (within 4 days of stay) - $75.00
Reviews
Courtney was amazing!! From the first meet and greet to drop off, I was confident that Reya would be in good hands when I was away on vacation for the week. She sent updates throughout the stay along with videos and pictures! I would recommend Courtney without reservation to anyone who is looking for a well trained sitter who knows what's she's doing!!
During the drop-off, my wife and I brought a bag of extras to give to our sweet dog, including some extra yogurt to put in her food, as she was having a yeast issue with her paw. As we were going over the instructions on how much/how often to give her these extras, Courtney would be incredibly dismissive, and "uh-huh"ed us over and over, as if she was rushing us out of the house. We felt like nothing we were saying was landing. As a Rover sitter myself, I make it a point to provide my clients photos at least every 6-8 hours, at a minimum. But during the stay, the only time I would get photos of our dog was when I asked about how everything was going, which was about every 12-14 hours. When we picked her up, it seemed that none of the extras we provided were used, including the yogurt. We can't say for sure, but our dog's paw looked a little worse, indicating that perhaps Courtney did not use it during the 3 day stay in the way we instructed. Either way, we were underwhelmed about the entire situation, and felt like our dog was not a priority for Courtney, especially for the rate we paid.
Anna had a great stay with Courtney! Would recommend to everyone!
My dog seemed to have a great time and came back to me happy and healthy! Received pics and updates of my dog while she was with Courtney so I definitely felt that all was well. Her home is set up perfectly for caring for multiple dogs at once, with plenty of room inside and out to explore and exercise. Would definitely go to her again!

Information Courtney B. would like to know about your pet
It is ok if your pup has issues sometimes, but for the safety of my other guests and myself I need to know about it. Even the littlest thing can set the best dog off, without that information you are setting me, and your fur baby up for failure. Please be 100% honest about your pups behavior and pet peeves. Also, keep in mind, that as humans we don't like everyone we meet, so why would we expect our dog to like every dog that they meet? I do not introduce my pups at the meet and greet. Over stimulating your dog during a meet and greet will alter their behavior. My focus is to get a feel for your pup, and discuss their needs with you in the calmest environment possible. The first day of the stay I let my guest roam around the house for about an hour alone, so they can familiarize themselves with the environment. Then, I rotate my pups into the house and the guest into the yard. Once everyone has calmed down, I start the introduction process. Each pup is introduced one at a time allowed to sniff each other through the gates first. If there are any signs of personalities clashing, the introduction won't go any further. If all is good, then we proceed to the next stage. I don't take any chances when it comes to the safety of my guests or myself.
A typical day
I like to keep busy, so most of the time the pups will follow me around, but we always make time for fetch! I even play cookie "hide & seek", where I'll take small treats, and hide them around the room so they can find them later.

I work for AMK9, a Police & Military Dog training facility in Moyock, NC. When I am away from the house my boyfriend is usually home, so your pups are always being looked after. Occasionally, we do need to run out, but my guests are never alone for very long. When we are gone, everyone is kept separate for safety.
