My name is Courtney. I am 32 years old. I grew up with dogs my whole life. A German shepherd at the age of 2, a golden retriever at the age of 15, and my own dog (golden, chow mix) at the age of 27. My dog Charley and I moved out to Danville from Ohio 3 years ago and love it here. Two years ago Charley was diagnosed with megaesophagus, I spent a year grinding up dog food and turning them into meatballs. I would then have to hand feed him and give him ice. After feeding him, I would have to burp him and keep his head up for at least 15 minutes. It was a long year but somehow we got through it and he is now in remission. My dog is my baby, so I know how important it is to get someone who is trusted and loving. I work for my fathers business in Danville, so I have some free time to help other families that may not be as lucky.
