Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Courtney and I've worked with dogs for the past ten or so years now. I've worked in a boarding kennel, with an animal shelter, in a pet store, at a doggie daycare and have sitting experience as well! I've even groomed a dog or two! My friends know that if I spot a dog, I'll be right there, asking to say hi and pet them. I really love dogs! Experience includes 3 summers sitting a Cairn Terrier, Gonzo, for a family friend. Also, I spent a week over Christmas in an owner's home while she was on a cruise sitting her three Borzois, Billie Jean, Toby and Jesse. I've had a repeat client in a pit, poodle mix household and a Portuguese Water Dog. A couple of neighbors have recognized my love for their canine children and have asked me to care for them while they were away, as well. These pups include a pug, a chocolate lab/pit mix, a chow mix and a Saint Bernard. I am constantly giving people my name and phone number just because I stopped to pet their dog and they saw that I had a connection with them! I currently live in Bethlehem with my boyfriend and our cat. I wish I could have a dog, but I settle for just getting to love other people's dogs. Maybe you can help with that!

Courtney spent a long weekend housesitting with our "special needs" senior dog. Words I would use to describe Courtney are: kind, compassionate, professional, dependable. She communicated with us daily which set my mind at ease. She took good care of our home and our Sophie so we didn't have to worry or rush back. We definitely would highly recommend her!

I'm a huge boxer lover, but I'm not biased! I love dogs of all shapes and sizes and have handled dogs that weighed 2 pounds to dogs that have weighed closer to 100 pounds! I've worked with dogs that are food aggressive, dog aggressive and just plain aggressive before. They're a little tougher, but I wouldn't automatically turn a dog down that had some aggression.
A typical day
I give every dog I see lots of snuggles and kisses. If I sat for your dog, you can be sure that they will get all the love they deserve. Not only do I do snuggles, but I will also take the dog on walks. I have plenty of experience caring for dogs. A day at the boarding kennel included letting the dogs go to the bathroom, feeding them, cleaning up after them and making sure they had plenty of bedding and water, bathing them if requested, giving them medicine if required, giving them love and playing with them if requested. I handled up to 50 or so dogs each shift.

I'm currently a full-time student at Temple University, having recently left my last job with the hospital to focus on my studies, so I have plenty of time these days for some pets!
