Dog Trainer & Pet Professional!

Pet care experience

Dogs and animals are not just a hobby for me, they are my life! My passion for animals all started when I was 8 years old, when I rescued my first dog, Buddy. At the time I wasn't sure how much work and energy it took to care for a puppy. Once I found out the joy of ownership, I was hooked! I would spend hours everyday teaching him new skills and tricks. As a young girl I always envisioned my life by being surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes. By the age of 16, I had rescued another dog and also started showing horses and being heavily involved in 4H programs across Middle Tennessee. In addition to showing horses I also worked on a very busy equine farm taking care of all the animals, big and small! This passion fueled me to start volunteering at any animal shelter that would have me. Now as a young adult, I have gone to school and became a certified professional dog trainer and made my career by helping dogs and their owners strive for a better and more successful life. My experience has taken me from simple house sits and dog walks all the way to training aggressive dogs and teaching beginner/advance obedience. I've also dedicated time and knowledge to helping rescues in Nashville. I have been a foster parent/trainer for Middle TN German Shepherd rescue for the past few of years. Animals are my passion and I strive to give the best care for you and your pet! I understand that giving someone access to your pet/home and entrusting them to treat them as you would is difficult. But don't worry, I will go over everything in a consultation so you can feel confident and comfortable allowing me in your home and spending time with your pet(s).

I have never been more satisfied with a stay nor felt more comfortable leaving my girl with anyone! Courtney took stellar care of Metta in my absence and regularly sent detailed updates and photos, something every dog owner loves and appreciates! I was immensely grateful for Courtney's experience as a dog owner and trainer. It reassured me that Metta was in great hands while I was gone and that if any problems were to arise, Courtney would know precisely how to handle them responsibly and appropriately! She was also extremely flexible with pick-up time, even allowing Metta to spend an additional night with little prior notice, which was a huge lifesaver! Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Courtney! Not only will you want her to watch your dog, you'll want to be her friend!

Courtney is fantastic with dogs! She is patient, honest, and very knowledgeable. Courtney is also very flexible with her schedule and will strive to accommodate any dog sitting needs. I would recommend Courtney for dog sitting, walking, and training.
