Compassionate & Trustworthy Service

Pet care experience

In my personal life, I have had the privilege to grow up with many special and unique dogs and cats. We had several hunting/working dogs (Labradors, beagles, hounds), and also had our "lap warmers" Shih Tzus. We were lucky enough to be blessed with Shih Tzu puppies (experience with: potty training, constructive play, bite deterring, discouraging barking behaviors). Also experience with the handicap and disabled (one Shih Tzu was blind and deaf, another had 3 legs. Missing her front left leg). I have experience with cats as well, we had several growing up as did my grandmother. In my professional career I have worked at a Pet Resort (boarding for cats/dogs/occasional birds), I have also worked at a Rescue Shelter in Pittsburgh (cats, dogs, bunnies). While living in Oakmont I was a personal dog walker for a family that had two wonderful dogs that enjoyed a leisurely stroll around town as well as off road hiking adventures and river swims! I thoroughly enjoyed my time at each place. I am also the "go-to" for about a dozen friends to watch their cats, dogs, lizards, fish, parrots, etc when they are out of town, and I honestly enjoy every minute. I would look forward to meeting your fur babies and treating them as if they were my own.

Courtney was amazing and Louie loved her. She was reliable and knowledgeable and helped do a bit of training on the walk. 100% recommend and we will be using her again!

Had football game and was away for two days, was the best with my intact male and female american bully dogs. Saying that sentence scares some people away but she embraced them with tom’s of love. Didn’t have a single issue and they may have loved her more than me. The best!!

Courtney did a fantastic job and took care of my dog perfectly. She had perfect communication the whole time I was away. I would highly recommend to anyone that needs their pet/home taken care of.

I will not be providing services in my home. My home set up does not currently allow for any more furry visitors, but I am happy to take fur babies on "outings" if I am watching pets overnight. I would have happy to take them to the park, river, trails, Starbucks, ice cream, etc.

Information Courtney A. would like to know about your pet

If anyone needs medications or therapies during my stay. Any new/concerning behaviors that you would like me to deter (barking, scratching, biting, jumping, etc). If there has every been a civil or legal dispute regarding the animal.

A typical day

I like to exercise pets physically as well as mentally. Some of my simple favorites are hiding toys/treats/food in a rolled up dish towel. In the summer months I like to freeze beef/chicken broth with toys/treats/food in a cupcake pans and use the frozen pucks as a nice way for your dog to cool off outside. For those that love to destroy things Ill use one of my many Amazon boxes and fill it with toys/treats/food/peanut better and then tape it shut really well, poke holes in it, then let your dog or cat go to town and tear it to pieces. For winter months I enjoy bringing the snow inside and put it in the bathtub for cats or out senior dog friends that cant get out as often. I'll throw in treats and toys to get them engaged; it is a really easy no mess way to do something fun/different. All of these activities are always under constant/close supervision. I also have several low impact activates for those that are slowing down but still want to be apart of the fun.

I currently have a very, very different work schedule; as I work in organ transplantation. I am 100% remote and work 10 twenty four hour days a month. My companies policy is the work is where the wifi is. As long as your home has cell phone services I am happy to provide services on days that I am working.
