Energetic Creature Lover

Pet care experience

There's nothing better then being able to explore the world while out on a walk with a four-legged companion and there is no better company then that of a dog. I've grown up with dogs of all shapes and sizes all my life--from energetic Malamute Huskies to shy Dachshunds, each one has played a pivotal part in who I am. I have several years experience with horses, reptiles, amphibians, and birds and have loved everyone of them. I am a patient person who will take the time to get to know your pup and your creatures so that all their needs are met. I live a very active, outdoor oriented life style and currently work as a Wildlife biologist with Oregon Fish and Wildlife. My seasonal work has come to a close so my schedule tends to vary a bit but I am very flexible when it comes to hours or working with your schedule. While attending UC Davis I worked with the Equestrian Vet Hospital and am no stranger to hard work or fast paced situations, your pup will be in capable and loving hands.

We love having Cortney housesit and take care of our pups! They love having her stay with them and we always get lots of updates and pictures. Makes vacation and time away from home more relaxing. We have a senior dog that takes medication multiple times a day and is on a special diet, Cortney happily takes care of her needs. AND also loves on and plays with our younger lab. The house always looks the same as I left it (or better). Really appreciate Cortney!

Our spaces are sacred and I understand the importance of privacy more then many. It is important to me that you feel comfortable with me being in them while I take care of your creatures and/or furbaby. It’s also important that your animals are comfortable with me being in there space, I take the time that is needed so our time together is the best it can be!

Information Cortney R. would like to know about your pet

I have no breed preference, every dog has their charm! I would however like to know any sort of sensitivities such as loud noises, other dogs, doesn't like having their ears touched, etc. This helps me prepare for situations that may or may not occur, this way everyone stays safe and happy!

A typical day

I love hiking and being outside and I know some incredible trails that your fur baby is going to love! I’m also quite inclined to quiet moments on the couch or hanging out on the porch, sometimes our pups just need a companion to give them some love and hang out.
