I am interested in gaining more experience with all types of pets. I am really happy to offer services for getting your dog(s) outside - in nature, on hikes! Dogs, like humans, need time away from the concrete jungle and an adventure or play-time outside is most helpful for their behavior. All pets need some kind of attention with loads of affection and I'm here for it. With activities and training, any animal can be a great companion - even a simple belly rub after a potty break can make a dogs day! Dogs often trust me very soon if not immediately, and I hope that would extend to the owners as well. With most animals, it is this way, and I like to cater that to my respect of their boundaries and waiting for an animal to give me consent to interact. I am comfortable with any age, size and type of pet. Even if - especially, really - it requires some training and education on my end! I promise to never, ever yell or harm your pet in my discipline. I believe in being direct and assertive when dominance is required, but never aggressive. For matters of boarding and daycare, know that I have a live-in husband. Some dogs may have issue with men, this is common in abuse survivors, and I want that to be a disclaimer as much as it could be an offer for training - he is a fantastic human and could help in such socializing, and can honestly NOT be here if absolutely needed. Please note that for dogs, a harness instead of collar is amazingly more efficient for walks while training or simply with someone new and will prevent harm and escape of collar. As long as your dog is able to wear one - If a walkable dog comes to me with only a collar, they might also bring home a harness :) I highly recommend this adjustment to benefit your dog(s), you and your Rover sitters! My profile states that I am willing to board multiple dogs at once, BUT that is only with clear and concise communication and approval from both families, first request taking precedence.
