Pet care experience
I have grown up with pets and pet sitting was one of my first jobs. All pets whether they have fur, scales, feathers or fins are all great to work with. I have had birds, lizards, fish, fire-bellied toads, mice, a small snake, cats, dogs, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs and hermit crabs as beloved pets in my home over the course of my life. I have also worked with horses, ferrets, rabbits and insects (though I am not AS comfortable with the bug types). I have taken Audubon birding classes and training classes at SAVE. If it is from nature, odds are I am interested in caring for it.

I was worried about leaving my guinea pigs for the first time but Correne did a great job! She always kept me updated with how they were doing with videos and pictures. Thanks so much for taking care of them while I was away!
Correne did a wonderful job with our cats. Our shy cat warmed up to her. And she brought toys and got them both playing every day. She took good care of them and our house.

Correne was wonderful and exceeded all our expectations for our first time having someone do drop-in visits. She continuously tried to bond with all our pets, even paying special attention to the shy ones to make sure they were comfortable. Help me to be the best buddy to your pet by letting me know what pace they prefer. I need to know if they have any medical issues that I need to account for and if they have any fear issues so that I know to go extra slow with them. Whatever special care you provide your pet...I want to do the same.
A typical day
I like to let the pet determine how we proceed. Some pets want a good massage, others need to get a lot of energy out and still others are shy and need to take their time. Walks are not an option at this time for me. Kitties each need to play in their own unique way, sometimes fetch or a wand toy or a fun laser. You tell me what your pet likes so that I can fulfill their wishes.

I have an ankle injury which prohibits me from taking walks with doggos. If you have a fenced in yard, however, I will do my utmost to get your baby/babies the exercise they need.
