Pet care experience
While I didn't have a dog growing up, I lived vicariously through my friends who had dogs and took every chance I had to hang out them (the dogs, not the friends :) ). I have over 7 years of experience taking care of my friends' dogs when they were away, taking neighbors' dogs on regular walks around the neighborhood, and pet sitting when their owners were not home. I was born and raised in Washington, DC, attended Phillips Exeter for high school, and am now a student at Columbia University. I recently took a gap year, just finished a summer in Louisville, and will be all moved to New York by August 29th! I have a pretty flexible schedule and don't have any classes Friday-Sunday. I love all types of dogs--big, small, old, young, energetic, lethargic, and everything in between--and I want to have the opportunity to be around them and help their owners as much as possible.

My experience with Cornelia was positive all around. She took care of my dog Yori and his sister cat KC for 3 days; coming by our place twice a day to feed them, clean KC'S litter box and walk Yori. She gave great feed back when I had questions and sent me pictures and videos daily. She was able to engage KC who is normally super shy. When I returned from out of town, both Yori and KC seemed to be very content. It was my 1st experience with Rover and am very thankful to Cornelia for making it a good one.
Cornelia is a true dog lover who took the best care of our girl! She stayed with Rocksy for four days at our home and took great care, long walks etc. would definitely recommend her to other pet owners.
Usually nervous leaving my baby alone with others but Cornelia was fantastic! My baby Tina (border collie) is very active and it's hard to leave her alone when I leave to go on trips because she needs a lot of attention, but I needed someone last minute so I heard about Cornelia through some of the neighbors and thought I'd ask her to sit for a few days. And I'm glad I did! Tina was well fed, well rested, and her food and water area were very clean when I came back. Love her energy and care! Wish she was still in DC!!

I have no breed preferences! My two favorite dogs are pugs and German Shepherds, so as you can see my love ranges from small to big, but I love other dogs as well and would never discriminate. I would need to know any routines I would need to follow, the age/energy of the dog, how well the dog gets along with other dogs/animals/people, and other concerns that might apply if I am looking after your dog.
