Couches, not kennels!

Pet care experience

When your dog is in our home, they are part of our family--welcomed to snuggle on the couch or sniff around the backyard when we aren't busy at the grassy park just a few blocks away. I enjoy taking our doggy visitors to different places in the outdoors like the trails at Putah Creek, or even open spaces where they can burn some steam without the leash--let me know your doggy's preferences! I am also very perceptive of how dogs in my care are feeling and I pick up on how they communicate with their body language so I know when they need a break from playing or some one-on-one attention. We have a doggy door with access to the backyard in case your pet has some potty issues and isn't able to give us ques or just needs to have easy access, however, we keep it closed unless notified otherwise so no dogs are unsupervised. Feel free to send your doggy with his/her favorite toy, treats, blanket, or whatever else will help them feel right at home during their stay. Most importantly, when you trust us to care for your pet, she/he will RARELY be left alone, if EVER! Between myself, my partner Monte, and sister Crysten, there is at least one person home at some point throughout the day--you benefit from our opposing schedules! -->Drop offs & First introductions<-- Meet and greets are typically recommended for overnight stays, especially for dogs who have a hard time adjusting to other dogs or new places, or tend to be on the more rambunctious side. However, if you trust that your dog is easy going around most dogs and in most situations, it isn't mandatory. You know your furry friend best, after all! We also like meeting new friends on neutral territory if that is the easier option. The park near my house works as the perfect meeting grounds to help the pups work out any dominance issues and "get it out of their system". -->Extra long days & extended stays<-- I understand that not everyone's life revolves around a 9-5 job. So while a typical Rover day is from "8 a.m.- 5 p.m." , I do my best to be flexible and accommodate earlier or later pick-up/drop-off times. Daycare exceeding 9+ hours may be charged accordingly, within reason. *Pick-up day (regarding OVERNIGHT stays only)* On your scheduled pick-up day, if your pup plans to spend the day with us for 6+ hours it will be considered an additional day of care. Therefor, if you plan to pick up the pup later than 12 p.m. on pick-up day, the quote may reflect a charge for care that day and the price will be updated accordingly prior to booking. Our other doggy friends can only come play if there is enough space, so I have to book/charge accordingly. Thanks for understanding! -->Holidays<-- I don't mind staying home with the pups so that you can make travel plans for the holidays. The sooner in advance you book, the better I can plan around your needs and secure the dates. My holiday rate is $50 per night ($30 for the 2nd dog) which will be applied to the duration of the stay if booking falls on any of the following: May 24-29th --->Memorial Day July 2-5th------->4th of July Sept 1-4th------>Labor Day Nov 19-27th---->Thanksgiving Dec 17-Jan 3---->Xmas & New Years

Corinne did a great job of working with my dog Charlie’s needs. She is a very compassionate dog owner who treated Charlie like family. I feel very fortunate to have found her.

Corinne was great! Was quick to respond and made sure our dog was tired out before he came home. Jax found a new friend in Spam and is looking forward to his next stay.

Information Corinne S. would like to know about your pet

- Any dominance issues--mounting? - Habits I should know about: An avid chewer perhaps? Or is excessive barking their forte? Do I need to hide all trash cans, or maybe it's the toilet bowl they can't resist? - If your pup isn't quite himself, can he/she be a little overbearing, or more stand offish? Are they okay with approaching other dogs or people out on a walk? - Is your doggy an aspiring escape artist, or will he try and bolt the first chance they get? Maybe I need to be the lookout for cats & squirrels? - Any toy or food aggression? - How well does your dog do off the leash for play in a park setting, if at all? - Short car rides, yay or nay? *The more honest info you give me will only help me understand your pup better and no answer will be seen as undesirable.

A typical day

We are huge fans of the park--as long as there's grass to play in and a stick to throw it doesn't matter which one. You too, huh? Then we will definitely have to bring you to our daily go-to spot, City park, located just two blocks from my house complete with a tennis court which means.....unclaimed tennis balls are fair game (finders keepers, right?)! If your doggy does well off the leash for some fetch, it's a great place for that as well. Did I hear you say your fur baby prefers the dog park? No problem! We can hop in the car and get there in under 6 minutes (windows down of course, in case we need to bark at someone who's texting and driving). Oh wait, did I hear your doggy is up for a longer nature walk,? Perfect! Let's head over to Putah Creek in Davis where we walk up to a few miles on the dirt trail alongside water--which we are known to get our feet wet in when the weather is right. Wait a second, we have a couch potato on our hands, you say?! I thought you'd never ask! Time for some delivery food and Netflix (what day is it,anyway?) *All toys brought from home are fair game and are subject to be chewed beyond repair and reuse, RIP.
