A Cori is a dog's best friend!

Pet care experience

Hi, I'm Cori! I love (love, love, love!) dogs and have many years of experience caring for them as personal favors and seasonal gigs. I have been walking, sitting, and petting since I was about 10 years old. In middle school, I was the go-to for our neighbors whenever their dogs got out of the house--I was proud to go find the lost doggies and bring them home (unfortunately this happened a lot). A few years ago I finally adopted my own pup, Nala! She was an amazing furry friend who sadly passed away a couple of years ago. I miss her every day and am looking forward to when we can adopt another dog. Until then though, I want to get as many belly rubs in as I can! That being said, I was a dog owner for three and a half years, and have continued to host friends’ dogs when they go on vacation, so I have good deal of experience caring for dogs. I also am kinda a dog info junky, and have been learning as much about dog behavior and communication as I can. Nala was reactive and fearful, so I also have some experience with dogs who need a little extra time to warm up. Shoot me a message with any questions you have or book me for a walk today! - Cori :)

She had such a great energy with the dogs and was very easy to entrust with them. She listened to all their routines and took great care of them. I’m so appreciative.

I know Cori well, and am familiar with her ability to relate to, and care for, pets. Cori is a patient and affectionate person generally, and very good with animals. She is responsible and will treat your pet like it's her own. She is also capable of being very knowledgeable about pets, especially dogs. I would not hesitate to ask her to care for my pet, for any amount of time: an hour, a weekend, or a week.

Cori is an amazing and wonderful human who loves dogs and takes extraordinary care of them. She is kind and patient and very good at meeting a dog's energy and needs. She understands dogs' behavior and quickly builds a close and trusting bond with them that allows her to interact with a variety of personalities and temperaments. I trust her whole heartedly to provide a standard of care for my dog (3 yo, corgi, m) that is equal to, if not greater than, my own. Your dog will be lucky to have Cori in his or her life!

Cori is the quintessential dog person. If you are looking for someone who will treat your pup like they are the center of the universe; look no further!

I’m more than happy to either take your fur baby for a walk or play fetch in your yard. The actual walks will be for a full 30 to 60 min, depending on what you book. This means that my timer will start once we’re all leashed up, to make sure your pup gets all the exercise they need.

Information Cori H. would like to know about your pet

All breeds are my breeds, though pitties will always have a very special place in my heart. If your dog has had some training, great! If not, no worries! I am used to doggy chaos as both my own pup and friends’ dogs that I used to sit for were all over the place until they were trained. If you're currently working on training I have no problem keeping up the training you’re doing while we walk/play.

A typical day

I am game to walk around your neighborhood, bring your pup to a walking trail, or play in your yard. Fetch and tug are a lot of fun and also get your dog’s heart rate up as well as provide mental stimulation! So if your puppo needs a session or two to get used to me before being comfortable enough to be on leash with me, that’s also an option. ***Please note: I do NOT do dog parks. I’ve had bad experiences there with dogs who were not monitored by their owners and also with the park being too full.

Availability

I’m currently a stay at home parent and am just getting back into the workforce, so the availability I have listed in my profile is primarily for midday walkies. If you need an evening or morning walk though I may be able to accommodate you if I can make it work with my schedule caring for my kiddo!
