Sadly, I cannot recommend Corey as a pet sitter. I returned home and there were a few issues - damaged hardwood floor where it looked like pee had been left on the floor for a few days. House was not left clean ( kitchen table not wiped off, trash cans filed to the brim, dog blankets with pee on them left on floor, dogs toys and beds not straightened up, outside recycle bin left in middle of street), water bowls were both empty. I hired him to stay in my home and look after the dogs and house and for $100/night I feel that he did the bare minimum and didn’t put any effort in. To be fair one of my dogs is a bit challenging, but I feel that if you are going to be a pet sitter you need to be experienced in dealing with that. He told me the pee accident was because one of the dogs would not go outside due to construction, which is strange because there has been construction going on for a few weeks and it’s never prevented her from going outside before. Before I left a review I thanked Corey for his time, and asked home for a summary and some feedback of his time with the dogs and asked few questions about some of my concerns. His first response was that the dog wouldn’t go outside because of the construction. When I expressed that this was unacceptable not to make sure the dogs go outside and mentioned the fact that the house was not clean he wrote the following message I have copied and pasted below and then wrote some additional messages to me insulting my house. I don’t feel that he respected and cared for my home which hurts my feelings and made me feel bad when I returned home after a long drive. Also, It didn’t seem like he actually stayed at the house much or looked like he showered there. He then told me he couldn’t use the shower because there was some hair in there. Well I take pride in keeping my house very clean and spent a lot of time cleaning the week before I left to make sure he had a comfortable place to stay and that I had a clean house to return to. The bathroom in particular was very thoroughly cleaned and deep cleaned before he stayed. Due to the fact that I’m paying him to stay there I think he could have given the shower a quick wipe down if it bothered him. There were bathroom cleaning wipes on the counter. I provided him with a very clean and spotless guest room for his stay which I usually rectify out for about $50/night on Airbnb. He also mentioned in another message that he “wasn’t going to pick my growling dog up to go outside”. I feel that if she was growling at him there must’ve been an issue that she didn’t feel comfortable with him. It’s hard to say because my other dog seemed to be OK with him when they met. I just don’t think he would be my top choice for a pet sitter if you need someone who is more experienced. Here is one of the messages he sent me: “I let SADIE out at 5:30 yesterday. I’m not picking your nervous dog up to force her outside. My prices are actually supposed to be higher but I didn’t say anything. I cleaned lmao. Elva not going outside isn’t my fault. Now have a blessed one. You live in the hood and I didn’t even feel safe being there. Your welcome for staying. I did what I was supposed to. Bye.”

Corey is one of the most loving, caring and energetic young men I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. My dachshund and Corey are truly best buds.
