Fun & Safe Stay w/ FREE WALKS
Pet care experience
Welcome to our smoke-free, child-free, dog-proofed home where your dog(s) will get free daily walks and be taken care of like family! I am home most of the day except for when I run occasional errands, and Kenneth is home in the evenings and weekends to help me, so your dogs won't get bored. We have 3 friendly dogs and a nice, safe set-up in our home where dogs are allowed on our furniture. If you book with us, we will take excellent loving care of your furry family members! Pictures/Updates: We send lots of pictures! We know how nice it is for peace of mind. And you can call/text us anytime to see how your dog(s) are doing. We have 3 dogs of our own, so we totally get it. They are part of your family and we're happy to keep you updated! Our Background: Kenneth and I both grew up around dogs. We have loved them all our lives! We have 3 friendly dogs, and we've cared for many dogs of friends and family. We've also fostered, and over the years we've found and reunited at least 5 lost dogs with their owners. Our experiences with dogs have made us super comfortable in caring for several dogs at a time, young and old, friendly AND grumpy! We've gotten to work with a few with special needs dogs too and we feel comfortable with them as well. Daily Walks/Exercise: When staying with us, your dog(s) will start out their days by getting a daily morning walk, followed by their first meal. If they are really energetic, I will skate or jog with them to burn off their excess energy. If they are sedentary, they can roam around our home and spacious yard or we can go on a short walk. We accommodate dogs of all energy levels! Backyard/Potty Breaks: Our backyard is fully-fenced and secure so even small dogs cannot accidentally escape, and we have a doggie-door installed so that the dogs can have very frequent potty breaks. I will also accompany them whenever outside, so your mind can be at ease. Play-time: In the yard we usually play fetch, tug-of-war and other outdoor games. In the summers we also bring out the doggie pool and it's a blast! If they play in the doggie pool, I'll give them a bath (free of charge!) afterwards so they come home smelling nice and clean! Indoors we have plenty of space for them to play and/or relax, and we have several doggie puzzles/Nina Ottoson doggie games for them. We also play "find-the-treats" or "find-the-toys" games around the house and yard, and we love to give them healthy treats like small pieces of carrots, cooked egg whites, and small pieces of lean unflavored cooked chicken breasts. For a special treat we also give out kongs with frozen peanut butter inside for even more fun and a challenge. These treats are given only if you approve, and if you have any treats that they like, please feel free to bring them as well! Safety: As far as safety, we always keep a close eye on all the dogs at all times. We do introductions properly and we always keep the dogs separate if we have to leave the room or house for any amount of time. We feed them all separately and keep out several large bowls of water at all times which we constantly refill and wash/sanitize thoroughly every night. Regarding outdoor safety, our backyard is fully-fenced and secure so that even small dogs cannot escape. We keep a lock on our gate to prevent accidental escapes and intruders. We have a doggie door so your dogs will be able to go potty often, and we will always keep an eye on them when outside to make sure they are safe, and close the doggie door if we are leaving the room/house. Additionally, we keep any hazards out of reach and have thoroughly dog-proofed our home. Safety always comes first! Also on the topic of safety, our 3 dogs (ages 2, 4 and 5) have good temperaments and are kid- and dog-friendly. They have been spayed/ neutered and are up-to-date on their shots (i.e. rabies, bordatella/kennel cough, k-9 influenza, and the DHLPPC booster). Drop-offs: When you drop your dog(s) off, you just need to bring their shot records and rabies tag, food, collar (and harness if possible), and leash. If possible, please also bring their doggie bed if they have one and their kennel if they are used to sleeping in one. We have lots of toys, blankets, bowls for food and water, grooming supplies, 2 play pen fences, 2 doggie gates, a few extra collars and leashes, and several small thundershirts. . Resting / Quiet Time: If your dog(s) like to keep to themselves, we have plenty of comfortable open spaces in our home that they can call their own and hang out / play / rest in if they prefer. We also have an essential oil diffuser that we keep running most of the time to help the dogs relax. We also keep "music for dogs" on much of the day to help the dogs relax, unwind, and keep them entertained. Sleeping Arrangements: As far as sleeping goes, we allow dogs on furniture and have several very comfy couches and a pull out bed, as well as kennels and doggie beds if they prefer. We can separate them from one another when sleeping at night unless they all get along. Special Requests: We are happy to try to satisfy specific requests. We can follow specific feeding instructions, give oral medications, keep them on your routine, etc. Just let us know what they need and we will try our best to work with you! Questions: If you have any questions, please let us know. And we promise that if you book with us, we'll do everything we can to give your dogs the best care possible! We hope to see you soon!
Reviews
They are wonderful!!!!!
Corene did an excellent job taking care of my little dogs Fix-It & Augie, Corene was very organized, friendly, aware of my dogs safety and sent lots of pictures. I'm very happy with the care my dogs received.
Very friendly highly organized and caring dog boarder. Very happy we chose Corene.
Corene & Kenneth were great doggy sitters! They sent multiple pictures and videos every day and gave me a daily summary letting me know he ate great and had alot of fun playing! When we arrived, he had his own basket for his goodies and leash. He came home without any issues and curled right up and went to sleep (lots of doggy playtime with their own pets!) We will definitely be a repeat customer!

Information Corene & Kenneth T. would like to know about your pet
The following are the top things I'd like to know about a dog before sitting him or her. 1. What is his/her personality like? How are they around other dogs? and humans (babies, children, and adults, male/female)? 2. Do they have any types of aggression, and if so, what types? 3. Have they been spayed/neutered? Do they have all their shots? If not, which do they have? 4. Do they have any medical conditions that can affect them and/or other dogs (and possibly humans)? What medications are they on? What is your emergency contact info and your vets details in case we can't reach you if there is an emergency? 5. Does he/she have any anxieties? If so, what are they, and would you be comfortable with me putting a thundershirt on them to make them feel better, or do you have a preferred way to help them feel less anxious? 6. We love to reward our dogs with treats, sometimes even home-made ones. Would it be alright to give some of our treats to your dog(s) as well? Do they have any allergies? Do you have any treats you would like to bring for them? 7. Is there anything else not covered above that we should be aware of? We love all dogs, but just ask that you are upfront if there are any aggression, health, or other issues so we can prevent any potential problems.
A typical day
We will walk around our lovely dog-friendly neighborhood in Fairfield and around the neighborhood pond which has ducks and lots of grass, and the dogs will get plenty of playtime with the other dogs in our home and yard too!
