Pet care experience
Hi, my names Corene. I've had the privilege to have all different dogs and animals over the years. Mainly rescues. German shepards, labs, spaniels, bull breeds, and mastiffs. Other animals ive had over the years are chickens, ducks, turkeys, sheep, pigs, cats, tortoises, lizards and snakes. For me I would simply be there for your pet or pets, giving you the peace of mind to be able to go away and relaxing knowing they are in good hands and having a lovely time. I would keep you regularly updated too.

Corene is wonderful! She house sat our pup over a weekend while we were away and looked after her as if she was her own dog. Lots of helpful pupdates and tons of loving care. Our pooch was definitely sad to see her go! Would highly recommend and we will def use again. Thanks Corene! ?
Corene is a very kind, caring and generous person,always willing to give her time to help people out . She loves animals and understands their needs, she has a very calm personality and is able to allow them to instantly feel at ease.She is totally trustworthy, reliable and honest and I would be very happy to leave her in my house in charge of my animals. ,She has had plenty of her own animals, including rescue dogs with behaviour issues.She is very organized and understands the need for routine and consistency. I have several dogs aswell as other animals and Corene is very natural and loving around them. I think she will make a fantastic pet sitter and am very happy to recommend her.
I have known Corene for over 20 years and she has always had a passion for animals. Corene has a good balance between nurturing and responsibility having homed various large breed dogs from rehoming charities. Having large animals ourselves we know just how difficult it can be to take a break and really trust someone to look after your animals the way you do. Corene is good at following instructions with attention to detail and an invaluable level of common sense.
There’s nobody i trust more with my house and animals more than Corene. Goes over and above what is expected every time. She’s dealt with a sheep dying a dog needing a vet visit and a wasp nest erupting through a bedroom wall with absolutely no drama at all…and still comes back for more. I would be staying in your home, provide my own food but have use of your facilities. I am DBS checked. I would prefer only walking dogs on lead, unless they have very good recall or you have enclosed spaces.
Information Corene H. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special requirements or behaviour issues. This won't put me off but will give me the tools to help manage these issues and of course will be guided by you. I don't have experience with dogs with special needs dogs but again this doesn't put me off. Happy to give medication as needed and have had experience with injecting but haven't got any qualifications in this. I have also administered water therapy for animals with rental failure. I currently don't have first aid for dogs but looking into doing a course. I do however carry a dog first aid kit. Also for small dogs I habe seat belt adapters and for larger dogs a comfortable boot space in my car.
A typical day
Depending on your dog. There are lots of things I like to do with them, play ball, tuggy, walks, scent work. I feel our dogs are very much a part of the family and love interaction. So they will be very much included in what I get upto in the day and talked too all the time. Lots of cuddles and fuss. But also know when they want their own space. I tend to let animals come to me in theor own time. I feel this builds alot of trust.

Availability
I work most days apart from Thursday. Thursdays are the day I can do home visits. But have Friday from 5 till Sunday evenings free. I finsh work at 4.30pm. And there will be some weeks avaliable too. I'm quite a home bird and would always put your dogs' needs first. I know when I have had to leave my pets in someone else care, just how important it is you can fully trust they will listen to your instructions. You know your pet better than me and I will respect your wishes.
