Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Connor, I’m a 25-year-old yoga teacher and musician, and I have a lot of experience looking after people’s pets, ranging from dogs, cats, rabbits & chickens. I provide both short-term help if you just need someone to pop round at lunchtime to provide a bit of company or take your dog for a quick loop around the park; to longer-term care, allowing you the peace of mind to go on holiday knowing your beloved pet is being properly looked after in their own home. Although I can take on last-minute bookings and adapt to each animal’s needs in the moment, I prefer to connect with you both beforehand so that your pet can be introduced to me in your presence; allowing you time to get to know me and instruct me on the finer points of their routine. I want you both to be happy. One thing I’ve noticed after quite a few different sittings playing gentle music with my guitar or flute, is that music tends to soothe animals, and I often communicate with them this way. I’m an active person and like to take the dogs I’m looking after out into the countryside for long walks in nature. (While also honouring the dog’s energy levels.) *There may be an additional charge to cover petrol depending on how far I need to travel, but this will be discussed beforehand and mutually agreed upon. Connor has taken care of Betsy my little shih tzu for 4 weeks in January and 4 weeks in March.. in my home. During this time a bound between them both started to grow .. as Betsy felt loved and cared for .. everyday walks around the local park .. or in the Peak District.. sometimes on the lead and sometimes Betsy had her freedom to roam depending on the environment. Betsy has allergys and follows a special diet with monthly vets visits.. Connor took care of all Betsys needs with gentleness and love ... from video updates and photos I watched their time spent together and i felt totally happy to enjoy my travels .. Connor is an amazing friend .. and cares deeply for animals .. also my home was taken care of whilst I was away .. everything was as I left it .. Connor is amazing with all animals; dogs, cats, chickens, and rabbits ! He has looked after my 2 dogs and 2 cats for me in the past and he would definitely be my first choice for any future sitting. Connor looks after my 2 house rabbits and 4 cheeky chickens every time I go away, and I know they all love it as much as I enjoy the peace of mind, knowing they’re all being looked after so well. He’s sensitive to their needs and his gentle care of them is beautiful to see. (My oldest hen is *very* fussy, but loves being around him while he plays music and always insists on sitting in his arms for an afternoon nap!) Connor has looked after my dog Onyx, a toy poodle both during the day and overnight on many occasions. He is reliable and trustworthy and has a great relationship with animals. My dog loves spending time with him and it is a joy to use his dog sitting services when I go away. I would highly recommend him to other pet owners who feel restricted due to concerns about leaving their pets in kennels or with strangers. Connor is very in tune with animals and will provide loving and secure care you can rely on.

I spend time to get to know the animal and the owne and learning the routines and their home before staying on my own. I honour the needs of the pet, such as my latest sitting job was taking care of this elderly cat at age 20. Who needed some extra support giving her extra company during the long days for her, as her adventure cat youth was gone. She still had random energy bursts, running at full speed around the house. And spending lots of extra time indoors with her cosying and cuddling on sofa watching Netflix or playing gentle music with my guitar and flute.
