New to Rover, so I have set my rates low while I try to meet and build connections early on. I am extremely flexible as a dog sitter/walker/caregiver and I have watched dogs of all kinds for varying periods of time. I work remote so it is very easy for me to provide near constant attention to your pets (if needed), and I have experience with dogs from 8 weeks old to seniors requiring special attention. I have a list of my experiences with my own dogs below as well as a few quick facts: - Willing to walk anywhere from 0 to 8 miles per day depending on your dog’s preference, weather, etc. - Willing to sleep with or separate from your dog - Can provide special care to elderly dogs or puppies if necessary - Experienced with watching young puppies, willing to help train them as well - I work remote and can provide constant attention to your dog if you would like, or let it have some alone time if needed - I am willing to prepare special meals and even cook for your dog if needed - I recently moved to FL from MA and I am doing this not for money, but because I miss my family’s pets back home Experience with my own pups: My first dog, Cali, was a westie who passed away in late 2022 and she was mostly blind and deaf and required constant bandage changes on a bleeding mass under her jaw. I loved to spend time and relax with her on the couch and we would go on one extremely slow quarter mile walk per day towards the end. More recently my parents got a westie puppy who as of Feb 2024 just turned one, and I have spent a ton of time walking, watching, and training her. I need to take her for three half mile walks per day and I play with her a few times per day for 20 mins to help her calm down by bedtime. I have also watched my brother’s malamute who turned one in March 2024 a ton while he renovates his new house. This pup is big and she loves to play very physically, so I find it’s helpful to take her on two or three one mile walks per day and play out in the yard as much as possible. Other dogs I have watched recently: I have mostly watched my uncle’s two doodles, a family friends’ two dogs (a senior frenchie and a pug mix who was a puppy), my friends golden retriever puppy, and a few other pets. I have experience watching anywhere from 2 days to 4 weeks, and can accommodate any requests you have. Cats: I also love cats and would love to watch yours as well. My cat back home is very playful, but she does require some patience as she thinks my hand is some sort of prey. I’ve watched her a lot and she will sometimes chill with me, but she is more like a roommate.
