June booked to capacity for overnights, but drop in space is still available but very limited.* Please read end of bio for additional info regarding calendar, and mileage. *I also watch small animals including but not limited to Rabbits, Rats, Gerbils, Chinchilla, and Hamster. I currently have a Mischief of 5 so handling and letting them have time outside of the encloser is no issue! Drop Ins and Walks are done between the hours of 9:30am to 3:30pm and then from 6pm till 7:30pm. Evening drop ins must not be any further then 15 minutes from Beltsville. I grew up in a house filled with animals and that experience instilled in me a great passion for caring for creatures, especially those with special needs. I have experience with feline renal failure, cerebral cortex issues, diabetes, senior dogs who need help getting up, blindness, deafness, and the anxieties and potential behavioral issues that can occur when attempting to take a stray off the streets. I’m very much an animal person, so much so that I often tell others I’m better with animals than people! I find great joy in stepping in to provide a consistent care experience for my clients, especially those who have a difficult time finding a pet sitter who can take on their pet’s individual needs. As an owner of a special needs animal myself, I couldn’t trust the care of my pet to someone lacking experience in this area, and I love specializing in this area for others facing similar challenges. More about me: I’m a former pharmacy technician who has been my mother’s full-time caregiver for six years until she recently passed away. I have a five year old cat that was previously abandoned in my neighborhood—it took around 18 months for her to open up and fully realize that she is safe, and once we got over that hurdle she allowed herself to love and be loved! It has been the most rewarding experience working towards that and I love knowing that my dedication and patience helped make that happen. I am a very patient person who offers the best care to my utmost ability. I am transparent with my clients and work hard to show them through my actions that I am dependable, honest and caring. I have experience pet sitting all types of breeds, temperaments and sizes of dogs, from Chihuahuas to 90 lb German Shepherds, and everything in between! Please note that Calendar is not always 100% accurate due to private bookings. Calender is updated once a week. For bookings that are greater then 10 miles from Beltsville there is a $1 per mile surcharge daily. In addition walks are not included in overnight bookings and are only done by request done prior to the start date only. Walks booked during an overnight are an additional $14 per 20 minutes. I am also privately insured, so rest assure no matter what your furry friend is always receiving good care. My schedule is often different due to varying bookings that I receive but between 1:30pm and 5 I do have my afternoon dailies M-F. Sometimes these times do alter, but I always make sure to stop in so the pups I am doing overnights with can have a mid day potty, and pets/cuddle session. I will follow instructions that the I am told. Even when there is a fenced in back yard I stay outside with the pups to ensure everyone remains safe and secure within the yard.
