Pet care experience
I grew up with a dog and have always loved dogs, and I often found myself taking care of neighbors’ or friends’ dogs while they were away. I fostered pit bulls for a local rescue group, so I have experience with bully breeds. I was honored to have three old dogs, so I also have experience with elderly dogs as well as dogs who need medicine. Dogs are part of the family in our home, so they’re treated well, but they don’t get table scraps and aren’t allowed up on beds. I have kids who love to play with dogs, so dogs who stay with us receive lots of attention in our home, which has two rescued dogs who enjoy the company of other dogs. We enjoy going for walks, playing, and incorporating dogs into our daily life. The ice dispenser is the treat dispenser in our kitchen (real treats are kept here too, ice is just more convenient). I am also experienced with dogs who have food allergies or dietary restrictions, because it happens to them too. Please let me know if your dogs has any special needs, fears, quirks, or requirements. I will do my best to accommodate! Dogs staying with us need to be able to stay in a crate when I’m not home (school drop off/pick up, errands, etc). I have crates here to use if needed. They also need to be okay with other dogs, as I have two dogs of my own.
Reviews
Our favorite on Rover!!!
Connie and her family took excellent care of my little buddies! She kept me in the loop with lots of updates and photos, and I could see they were happy and comfortable. They had plenty of snuggles, walks, and play time. I highly recommend Connie and definitely hope to book her again in the future!
This was the second time booking with Connie and my doggie and I were so happy with the experience!
Connie was amazing! My first time using the app and leaving my pup with someone new. I was pleasantly surprised! Highly recommend and plan on reserving with Connie again!

I have a fenced in yard with grass for dogs to play in and a separate dog run for them to use for potty purposes. I have space to crate dogs if/when needed and plenty of dog beds for relaxing, tennis balls to fetch, and Nylabones to chew on. We feed dogs separately, and I like to know of any triggers or fears your dog has so that we can take precautions to make sure everyone is safe and happy.

Information Connie D. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know of any special needs or requests. Dogs staying with us need to be able to stay in a crate when I’m not home (school drop off/pick up, errands, etc). I have crates here to use if needed. They also need to be okay with other dogs, as I have two dogs of my own. I will do my best to accommodate special needs and requests (and will let you know ahead of time if I can’t), so please feel free to let me know so we can see if we’re a good match. Dogs staying with me should be comfortable with other dogs, as my preferred dog-watching style is to incorporate our canine guests into my daily life, which means they’re out and about (not crated all day) and usually in the same rooms as us, because that’s where my dogs are. If your dog does better alone in a crate with being let out for breaks, please let me know and we can adjust to ensure your dog is comfortable.
A typical day
Dogs tend to follow me around and do whatever I’m doing. They have their choice of dog beds and toys to play with. We take breaks and play outside in the backyard or play fetch in the house when it’s too hot or raining outside. Our walks are usually around our neighborhood, in the evening after dinner (or early in the morning before the sun heats up the ground). My dogs are always hanging out with us, and they have beds in nearly every room of my house. I meet the needs of the dog staying with us. Some dogs prefer to hang out in their kennel while others become part of my dog pack and follow me around. I do what I can to make our canine guests feel comfortable and at home. I am not a dog trainer, but I do enjoy playing with dogs and going through their commands/tricks with them if needed/requested.
