I’m a passionate animal lover who enjoys caring and learning about all types of pets, ranging from dogs to exotics. About my family: Colton: I use to be Veterinary Assistant at a local animal hospital while finishing my PhD, now I work full time remote from home (with occasional business travel for clients). I have experience in administration of medication, pet vitals, foundations in pet first aid and more. About my wife, Melissa: Certified Home Health Aid, and experienced pet owner. Back in Colombia, her family owned a farm and she’s great with all types of animals! She helps me take care of our furry family when I’m away, and is known to cook amazing pet birthday cakes and snacks. (Says my dog and rabbit) Our furry family: We have an Akita and a rabbit. Most dogs we care for love to sniff the rabbit and make friends with them both. However, we can accommodate pet stays with no interaction between either member. *as long as your pet isn’t pet aggressive, (including excessive noise), your furry friend will get along great with both our dog and the bunny! I have experience with highly energetic huskies through small tea cup yorkies. I’d love to take your dog for a run, hike, or even just a play session. I have experience with feeding specialized regime food to small puppies, giving injections, nail trimmings, and more. *If specific extra services are need feel free to inquire. As a professional, I’m responsible and punctual with appointments. You’ll be sure to get a picture or video from our walk or pet sitting and I’m not afraid to get goofy with your pet and roll around if they need cuddles. I believe in a lot of positive reinforcement and treating your pet like a family member. Safety is a huge priority to me, and I’ll always ask questions if something is unclear. I usually work or study from home, when I leave the house it’s usually for errands, work or the gym. However, typically my wife who lives with me is home to watch over our furry family. Your dog will be free to roam the entire apartment, taken to the local park or for a stroll outside on the trail. All pets eat separately, and enjoy numerous enrichment such as tug of war, peanut butter filled toys, and mini pet massages! All pets are kept separately when unsupervised.
