I love pets and can not currently have any of my own because I have aspirations of traveling around the world. I have had a dog as part of my family since I was a little girl. I have made plenty of trips to the dog shelter volunteering and fostering dogs when I have the capability. I enjoy taking hikes and jogging with a canine partner. They are great motivators and also set an alarm if any other animal is nearing. I have a great place with a huge backyard. I also frequent the dog park if your dog isn't great off the leash and does better with fenced in areas. My friends have dogs and would bring them over if your dog enjoys socializing.
