Dog lover focused 24/7 on your dogs

Pet care experience

You can't enjoy being away unless you know your dogs are going to be safe, happy and engaged while you're gone. I am a retired designer. I take my own dog, Sunny, out for an off-leash hike every morning and I make his food in my own kitchen. He gets the best care and attention I can possibly provide and I will do the same for your dogs. I also keep a house neat and tidy and can care for house plants, gardens, and have experience with small parrots. I am committed to giving you peace of mind while you're away. I am familiar with most veterinary issues and always focus on keeping your pets safe. I will send photos as often as you like. I am open to stays for a week or longer anywhere in Oregon or northern California. I can do shorter stays in the Klamath Falls area. Do to a recent change in my living arrangements I can now only take jobs where I can bring my own dog, Sunny. Sunny gets along great with other dogs, but not with cats. He is a beta personality and very sweet, never dominant. He's a four-year-old neutered male, about 45 lbs. I have a few pics of him in my photos. So situations in a house with a yard are better than apartment settings for us.

Colleen house-sat my dog for a week. In terms of taking care of my dog Rufus, she did great! Took him to various dog parks everyday. She had brought her dog with her to stay at my apartment too so Rufus had a friend. I would highly recommend doing a meet and greet though, to make sure she knows how things work in your home and how to leave it. In terms of my apartment, when I came back, my furniture and things were moved around (not how I left it), seems like my desk was knocked around because all of my stuff was on the floor behind the desk, she turned off my dog camera so I couldn't have eyes on my dog while I was away (NOTE: I only have the camera facing my dog crate), apparently one of the dogs pooped in the living room (my dog knows not to do this) and she used paper towels to clean it up and flushed them down the toilet and then the toilet clogged and the maintenance man had to come and took all the poop and fixed the toilet, all of which she didn't tell me about, I had to find out through my maintenance guy. All in all, she will take good care of your dog but just make sure you have a meet and greet or something beforehand so that your apartment/house is how you want it!

I'm so grateful to have found Colleen for my first Rover experience. We had two calls before she arrived to make sure everything was all set, so the communication was very comforting. She was happy to housesit and watch my 5-month-old Mini Aussie, Mikka, for 8 days while I was on a work trip, which was quite a stressful amount of time for me to leave my puppy with a stranger! But she was quickly no stranger and Mikka fell in love with her instantly. Not only did Colleen send many updates and pictures of their adventures, but she took wonderful care of my home. My plants were perky, my place was spotless (better than I left it, in fact!), and Mikka was clearly well taken care of. I feel like my pup had a mini stay-cation while I was gone since Colleen very rarely went anywhere without her. My heart is full--thank you so much for taking wonderful care of my fur kiddo! I would book Colleen again, no questions, and would highly recommend her for your pet as well!

She did a great job for us. She did more than what we asked including walking the dog and brushing her. She kept our home clean. I liked it when she contacted us to give updates. I was hoping to use her again next month, but she would need to bring her own dog and it’s not a good match with our own.

Consider yourself very lucky if you have Colleen take care of your furry companion! She is a true animal lover, and adds a dose of love to your care instructions. Give her a try and let your happy pup say the rest!
