Trustworthy Dog's Best Friend
Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Colleen, and I'm so excited to be a part of Rover Services. A little bit about me: I've been in Austin for ten years, so I know the city fairly well. Dogs have been a huge part of my life since I got my first puppy (when I was 5 years old). Although I grew up around large dogs, I love pups of all sizes and breeds! During grad school, I knew I didn't have the money or time to devote to having a dog, but I really missed having a canine companion in my life, so I spent some time pet-sitting for friends and volunteered in spare time at the local animal shelter as a dog-walker. Now, I am the proud dog-parent of the sweetest little Boston Terrier, named Dixie. As a dog-owner myself, I know how important it is to know that your pets are in good hands when you are away. I treat every dog I sit as if they are my own. I know that pet-sitting is more than just making sure your pets gets food, water, and gets let out regularly. I understand that social animals need emotional attention as well, and you can be assured that while you are away, your dog will be in the BEST of hands. I am committed to making sure that your dogs are well taken care so that you can fully enjoy your time away from home. While I am petsitting, I love to send photos/videos (if you'd like) of your pups, and if it's an extended trip, I'd be happy to set up a time so you can videochat with us as well! If you have any further questions for me, just drop me a line! I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your pets! Sincerely, Colleen

Zero loves Colleen! She watched him in my home for 10 days. She was constantly checking in and sending me updates and photos and took great care of my apartment. I would highly recommend Colleen!
I've known Colleen now for 10 years now and I learned quite quickly that she is a dog lover. Every time we take a walk on the green belt or town lake, she is always stopping to pet someone's dog. She has a dog of her own that she absolutely loves and takes her everywhere. She is always posting pictures of her and her dog. I know she will be a great caregiver of other people's dogs.
Colleen is amazing with dogs! She pays attention to their wants and needs and always has fun taking dogs out for walks! She's the ideal person to have look after your pup!
Colleen is really great with dogs, she's highly responsible and conscientious and always reliable. She loves all creatures and they love her. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dog.

Information Colleen C. would like to know about your pet
I love to get a thorough knowledge of every dog before I sit with them. Here are some examples of some basic information I'd like to know: What is their feeding schedule and how much food should they receive? What is their walking/exercise schedule? Do they have any medical conditions I should be aware of? Any medications I need to give them? What are some of their favorite activities? Do they have a favorite toy? Are they allowed any treats? If so, what kind and how many are they allowed? Is there anything your dog is afraid of (e.g. thunderstorms)? If yes, what does your dog find most soothing? How do your dog do when it encounters other dogs/cats/children while on walks? How often would you like me to contact you? Would you like me to send photos or videos of your dog? In the unlikely event of an emergency, who is your vet?
A typical day
I understand every dog is different! I'm a naturally active person, so I love going on runs and taking walks...if you have an active dog, I'll make sure they get plenty of activity. However, I also know not every dog likes that lifestyle. My own sweet Boston terrier, Dixie, is a more low-key dog. Her idea of good evening is snuggling up and getting lots of pets while I read a book.
