Pet care experience
I know how hard it is to leave your pet at home so my mission is to keep you updated with reports and photos while you’re away! I started pet sitting for my neighborhood pets when I was 12 and have continued that for the past 21 years. Currently, I work from home 2 days a week and in the office 3 days a week so I help out friends with their dogs while they’re at work and take on new pet sitting clients as well. I grew up with a large lab/hound mix and currently have 2 English labs. I’ve raised both of my dogs since they were 7 weeks old so I have lots of puppy experience but love playing with dogs of all ages and sizes.

I’m new to Rover (started with our new rescue dog that we’ve had for just a few weeks). Colleen has done multiple walks for us and is outstanding. Always a great experience for our dog. I love the detailed notes that I get with each visit (and absolutely love the pictures she sends! They are so cute and such a nice thing to see while I’m at work).

We’ve had a few pet sitters and walkers for our dogs, but Colleen is by far one of the best. She’s always punctual, has a great personality, knows how to handle our two dogs perfectly and the best thing is the dogs just love her. They wait near the door when it’s close to the time she’s expected and are so excited and happy when she opens the garage door to come in. We couldn’t be happier with the services she provides for us. We highly recommend Colleen!

In my home; I’m the primary caregiver to our two dogs so I manage their feeding, potty breaks, baths, and exercise. We get up at the same time daily and they hang out with me wherever I set up my desk in the house. While caring for your pet(s), I’ll work with the routine and schedule you’ve created for your them to ensure their comfort and safety. I can crate dogs if preferred when I leave so they don’t have free range of your house. If your pet has any quirks such as staying away from certain areas or neighbors dogs then I’ll stay on high alert for those triggers to keep them safe. I’m comfortable with taking large breeds such as Great Danes on walks or simply providing belly rubs for your Pittie. I read your dogs social cues to see how they’re handling a situation if anything should arise.

Please let me know if your dog has any dietary needs, treat limitations, exercise preferences, limits on walk or play time, favorite toys, etc! Please let me know if you have any neighbors with aggressive dogs so we can avoid that area or if your dog doesn’t get along with kiddos or certain dogs.
A typical day
I love taking my dog on long walks through the metro parks and would love to take your dog there too! I have two dog seatbelts in my car so they’re safe while on the move. We will play with their favorites dogs and find new activities to do! If I’m just in your backyard with your dog then we will play with toys until I can tire them out! It’s always nice to come home from work to a tuckered out dog.

Availability
I work in the wedding industry and spend 4 days of my week at home if I’m not needed onsite at an event and 3 days at a part-time job. My Tuesdays and Wednesday are completely open since I work remotely which gives me the ability to check in on your fur baby anytime. I’m also available most weekends and before/after work on Monday/Thursdays/Fridays to provide care too.
