Dogs Need To Feel Safe Too

Family has always included dogs in our tribe. My grandmother lived to reminisce about showing champion dogs growing up on Rhode Island in the early 1900s. We always had an Irish Setter or Scott Terrier of some kind. Until recently, I was the proud 10-year partner to a 95 pound Golden Doodle certified service dog JJ. JJ travelled the U.S. with me, and was trained for two years through a program in the Texas prison system, and a wounded warrior non profit. Another veteran is enjoying JJ now, so I decided to sign up to help other parents with their buddies. I am an empath and connect well with dogs, even dogs with challenges. As a retired USAF veteran, I can use salty and sweet techniques based on your buddies temperament to help our buddies stay safe and feel safe. Your loved one will know they are valued in my company, regardless of the kind of day they are having, or the challenges they might be facing.

Colleen was great, our older pit mix absolutely loved her and the long walks she took him on throughout his stay! She was communicative and provided photo and video updates throughout to let us know he was doing well. We will definitely book with Colleen again.
Colleen was able to give my senior dog with medical needs the care and attention she requires. Natalie took to her right away and she sent pictures of my dog relaxing in Colleen’s cozy home while I was gone. I’d book with her again any time.

I will accommodate the owner and pets unique circumstances. I can support training objectives. I live a very quiet lifestyle, non smoking home. I prefer written instructions, especially if there are diet or medication needs. There are no children in my home. I am a responsible professional and mom to adult children. I have a big yard on five acres and live near a gorgeous park for long walks. We can set up long leashes outside or stay inside and nest. No kennel needed as buddies roam free in my home. I live just outside the E.G. Town park entrance.

I need to know if the dog is averse to touch, preferences with how and where they eat, and obviously times. Any past injuries to be sure I’m sensitive to those while we are walking or playing outside. I’ll need to know if they are not able to be on a long leash outside, should I decide to stay outside and do yard work, so they can stay with me outside. Or, I’ll need to know if they require staying outside during the day for a set amount of time. I’m a photographer and love delighting friends about our buddies worlds while with me on social media. Can only accommodate buddies who bark when alone on very short term basis. Let’s discuss.
A typical day
I like to walk to the town park and on the trails often. There is a dog park but will only use with owners permission. I am very hands on with dogs, will treat your dog like my own in every way. Hands off if needed. I’ll play catch in the yard if they are very athletic. I’m a spoiler in a good way :0) I won’t mind keeping in contact by text, phone, photo or video so you know how they are faring or they can hear your voice while you’re not home.
