Pet Lover! (Vet Tech + Pro Trainer)

Pet care experience

I have had dogs (and all kinds of pets!) since I was a small child. I am very comfortable with cats, dogs, parrots, ferrets and fish! Several years ago I attended a school in NC to become a dog trainer. Although I decided to become a Vet Tech instead, I loved learning more about dogs and dog training. I absolutely love all pets, and would love to help care for yours! This work is a great second job for extra income, and some extra love! I have also fostered many dogs and cats from animal shelters and found them new homes. I am from Houston, and have lived in Fort Collins CO, Baton Rouge LA, Austin, Fort Worth, and now here in Salado with my mom. My dog Daisy is the sweetest ever, and loves all people and dogs! Penny has been in the family since she was about 5 months, and she’s an amazing puppy! She spent over a month in the shelter as a puppy, and you’d never know. She is cautious of strangers, but the sweetest when she knows you! I’m currently working full time as a Vet Tech at a very busy, local vet clinic.

Colleen has stopped in weekly to check on our older dog and our new puppy when we are at work all day. She is prompt, communicates well, and is SO great with our pups! She has an extensive background in pet care as well as dog training and has even given us great advice for making sure our puppy becomes a really great grown dog. Colleen is such a great sitter for our pets!

Colleen is the best! She watched our kitty for a week while we were away to visit family for Christmas. It was particularly tough because our kitty wasn’t feeling well. Colleen took amazing care of him, made him feel better when most couldn’t, and was a pro with his meds (one of the awesome perks of having a vet tech take care of your pet :)) she was so sweet with him and went out of her way to make sure he was ok! I’m so grateful we found her and that she looked after him. I would leave my kitty with her any time!!

Colleen would make an outstanding dog caregiver for your organization! She is a compassionate and kind animal lover in general. She is well trained in pet care and has well-rounded experience caring for dogs from nutrition to grooming to obedience training. She has their best interests at heart and will be very responsible in her care. I have no problem leaving my precious fur-babies in her loving hands, knowing they will be happy while she's on watch.
