Pet care experience
Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My grandparents were on the board of the local humane society and I loved to stop by and help to take care of the dogs! I also had a family dog growing up from the age of 5. One of the happiest parts of my day was taking our dog for his daily walk. When I went away to college, I missed my pups back home dearly. My senior year, I started volunteering at the local humane society and I loved having dogs in my life again. Now that I've moved to Boston, I am looking for ways to make dogs a part of my life here. I like to run, so if you have an energetic dog who needs lots of exercise, we can be running buddies or there is a local dog park that they can run around in if that is something you are comfortable with. If your dog is more of a laid back snuggler, then we can spend all day hanging out on the couch catching up on all those Netflix specials I've been meaning to check out! I can't wait to meet your pup!

Colleen was great with our dog, who has high anxiety. She was very communicative. She did lose our house key, so we had to get the locks re-keyed but honest mistakes happen and Colleen was very helpful in bringing the issue to our attention and working together to solve it.

I try to create as similar an atmosphere here as your pup has at home. For example, I’m happy to have them hang with me on the couch or snuggle in bed, but if you are trying to teach them not to jump up on furniture, then I’ll follow suit here.

Please just let me know about your normal daily routine and I'll try to match that - how often your dog goes out to go to the bathroom, any special dietary needs, any rules you have or words you are trying to teach them, any injuries to be aware of, etc.
A typical day
I really like going for outdoor walks, so we can go out for as many fun little adventures as your dog would like. There is also a nearby dog park if your dog is a social butterfly. Then after a long day of playing outside, we can relax on the couch and watch a movie before bed!

Availability
I have a hybrid in office/remote schedule so I can be flexible with long weekends and pick up/drop off times and can easily take multiple midday breaks to go for bathroom breaks and long walks on my WFH days.
