personalized furry friend training

Pet care experience

Hi there, thank you so much to you and your furry friend for taking time out of your day to visit my profile! My name is Colin, and I'm a 22 year old animal lover of all kinds. From young energetic puppies, working dogs, senior love balls, gentle giants, beautiful kitties, anxious beans, and those with all types of aggression issues. With a decade of experience, endless appreciation and care for animals, as well as a commitment to ensuring every pet parent and pet is looked after carefully and properly. I bring an immense amount of knowledge, passion, devotion and dedication to every pet care occasion. I spent a wonderful year working for Bronte Pet Services down in Vancouver/Lower Mainland. I was employed as a dog walker/pet caretaker working with ALL types of breeds, temperaments, and size of dogs (cats too!). I meet many wonderful people and animals, trusting me with their keys and babies. I pride myself on tailoring each and every experience to what the pet and pet parent needed, giving them the space to grow, learn, feel safe and themselves. Bronte is well known for their positive reinforcement approach and I continue to hold that with me during my training. I was also given the opportunity to attend the DOGSAFE Canine First Aid course that I still carry. This gave me a wealth of added knowledge to help aid and care for our furry friends safely and to be prepared for any kind of emergency situation. Over the years I've also had the most wonderful opportunity to raise 3 of my very own dogs as well. This gave me so much first hands on 24/7 experience, from training a puppy to adulthood, helping an abused rescue who had never been inside or touched learn to love and taking care of a terminally ill senior to the end of his days. I'm confident in all areas that your pup may need. Whether that be a very personal training routine, a chance for your pup to get the sillies out, or someone who can be there with them on those hard triggering walks. I have also helped raise 2 beautiful litters of puppies. At the end of the day the most important thing I've learned and always carry with me is that every pet and pet parent feels loved, is shown compassion and kindness, is heard and is comfortable.

Safety, trust & environment

First off I want to mention I understand every pet parent and pet has a unique, individual, special experience. Your furry friend will always be safely leashed (unless otherwise discussed), and will receive a private walk giving me the ability to give all my time and attention to your lovely baby. Walks and visits can and will look different for each and every client, as you are all unique! It’s extremely important to me that your dog's needs are put first, that I follow what you and your furry friend are working on or towards. Such as avoiding all meet and greets with other dogs if needed, or perhaps you are working on socialization and need careful, calm introductions. Maybe your pup needs a nice long hike, or a simple 30 minute training session. I am up for it all and will ALWAYS advocate for your dog's needs, and space when required. I always want to provide consistency and will diligently follow any rules/training needs that you have with your pup. Safety is number one when walking, training or pet sitting. Body language and the indications your dog or pet gives me will always be paid close attention to as well as those of others as to keep everyone safe. I will always be attentive to any potential safety issues such as traffic, other dogs, environmental issues, ect. If I am ever in your home respect will always be a top priority to ensure you, your home and your loved ones feel safe.
