Colin: Growing up I have always had dogs, ranging from an easy going collie-sheep dog mutt named Daisy, to an immensely stubborn Basset hound named Norman. I now have my own dog (Oliver) who is very high energy and loves all things outdoors. I love to take dogs for runs if they're able, and walks if not. High energy dogs are my favorite, as they keep things interesting and demand walks, which keep me active. I can brush, and trim most dogs nails even if they do not prefer their paws touched (The secret is to put peanut butter on a plate). I volunteered at a Greyhound rescue in State College while attending Penn State, where I learned how to handle sensitive and shy dogs. For the past four years I have been commissioned to paint and draw portraits of families beloved pets. Leah: My family only got a dog once I started college so I missed out on growing up with them, but am making up for that by getting my own dog after graduating and spending time watching other dogs. I’m a bit of an obsessive dog mama and worry about leaving my pup, so I want to make sure others feel comfortable leaving their dogs in our care by sending lots of photos/videos and staying in touch. I’ve house/pet sitted for a few years now and love spending time with all the pups. I’ve taken care of several dogs that require medication. Our dog loves to play but is good about matching another dog’s interest levels, so if your dog doesn’t like to play he will leave them alone.
