Pet care experience
I have had dogs at home my whole life in addition to pet sitting when I was younger. I do not have a dog now though as I just graduated grad school. I love dogs and cannot wait to own one again one day! I am a distance runner (competed for OSU and UW-Madison) and can even run with your dog! I have lots of energy and love to run, walk/hike, be outside and play! I am kind of a dog myself! I have never owned a cat I have only pet sat them but I love cats as well! I have a decent sized fenced in backyard that’s great for fetch. I have a car and can pickup/drop off pets. I have 2 wonderful, friendly roommates who also love pets. Lots of parks near by and of course the glorious trails of Eugene! I currently work at UO full time so if your dog needs near constant attention this won’t be a good fit but my work schedule is fairly flexible and I have some opportunities to work from home as well as able to go home during lunch for walk. When it comes to pet sitting I prefer when pets stay at the owner's house. I find that pets are much more comfortable this way.

Colette was great with my little dog Luna! We were able to meet beforehand, and I received regular updates as to how she was doing! Luna seemed very happy when I picked her up!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would! My dog is a giant ball of snuggles and anxiety. Colette was willing to meet him a couple times before the house sitting gig even began. She took him on multiple walks a day, played fetch at the park, and took the time to just hang out with him. We were given updates and pictures all the time. It was such a huge relief to know our dog was happy while we were away.
Colette is wonderful with our little Oliver, a 4.5 lb Maltipoo. Oliver just adores Colette and is very excited when she comes to pick him pick, so we know he loves their walks. Colette is also very trustworthy. We allow her to come into our home to pickup Oliver if we are not home. She is smart, always looking out for his best interest and has a great personality. She cares for our dog as if her own. I would highly recommend Colette to walk any dog.

If the pet is at my home, the pet must be crate trained or 100% sure that the pet will be well behaved on its own since I have two other roommates. For this reason I prefer to house sit pups at their own homes. After pet sitting for a few years I have noticed that dogs tend to be better behaved at their own home where they are less anxious and/or know the rules. I am also ok with a hybrid where the dog stays at your place during the day (during work days) and at night I bring him/her back to my place or something like that!

A typical day
I love walking around town or at the local parks rain or shine, I feel that I need to get outside too! I run everyday and would love a running buddy! I have a backyard that is perfect for fetch or other games. On the weekends I love longer hikes out of town.

Availability
I am normally at work from 9:30-5:30 I can easily come home for an afternoon walk. Plenty of time for walks after work. I can also walk your dog(s) in the morning or even better if they want to join me on a run!!
