I became a mom to my first fur baby, Max, in 2016. He was abandoned by his first owners and I knew I would do anything it would take to give him a good life. I had no idea how much of a commitment owning a dog would be, but we have now been together for 6 years & I couldn’t imagine it any other way. He was an only child until a few months ago when I found his baby cat brother in my car engine. He was only a few weeks old at the time and required hourly bottle feedings and I even had to teach him how to potty. It’s been quite the journey but I love my little family and am confident in my ability to care for pets of all ages. I am a full-time grad student, so I am limited in availability. However, most of my days do not start until the afternoon so my mornings are free! I love having active starts to my days while being outside, so morning dog walks would be perfect :) I am patient and have been described as “soft-natured”. I do not believe in using scare tactics to discipline dogs and am a firm believer in the power of positive reinforcement.
