Lots of love, exercise and company!

Pet care experience

My prior profile is below, please read my current and previous profiles to get a better idea of the scope of my dog history. This is a happy house where dogs are always welcome! Actually, as our puppy Sadie will testify, canine energy is an absolute necessity in this house! When our Bode was telling us it was time for him to join his brother and pals over the rainbow bridge, I made the decision that even though the nest is empty and I could travel and do many things I couldn’t do with my dogs, I didn’t have much that I wanted to do that didn’t involve having a dog or two alongside. And as fate would have it, little miss Sadie was looking to come to our home. So we went from two old dogs to one puppy in 6 months time! Sadie is a boxer pup! She loves every person and dog. She does listen to the cues her older, wiser friends give her...usually. And when leaving the dogs alone, as a rule, I keep them in their own separate, cozy spaces. Sadie is currently 30(ish) pounds and will grow to about 60/65 pounds of young, energetic dog. She is learning quickly about the world around her and how she fits in (she also seems to have an understanding of the meaning of her name “little princess” lol) She has canine friends of all ages and sizes and learns quickly from them! So your dog’s well behaved presence is welcome. ************************************************ I have had dogs my entire life. Currently, it’s a one dog house...and my old guy wants some company! We are not used to the quiet! The yard is fenced in, and the dog(s) are rarely left at home for more than two or three hours. I sit for many friends dogs and each and every dog is a part of the family. As a licensed massage therapist, I have shared my human skills with all of my canine friends in need...and if your canine friend is in need, we can add that into the stay, as well. We are dog people, and love to open our home up to canine friends and help our fellow dog people enjoy their time away from their pup, knowing he or she is well loved and cared for. Along with lots of snuggles, we hike and go for walks (or runs) on the beach and around the area. Each individual dog will get just what is needed...love, exercise, play, downtime, treats...what a dog wants...a dog gets in this house (well, with limits...but don’t tell Bode that!)

Maggie had a great stay with Colette! I got updates and a cute picture of Maggie chilling with her dog, Bode, while we were away. She clearly had a great time. She seemed to want to stay longer when we picked her up! I’d be happy to leave my pup with Colette again.

Our golden retriever has been in Colette's care on quite a few occasions and many times when we we've been in a pinch. She has a disarming personality and one of the most caring and flexible people we've met. We're lucky to have someone like Colette to care for our dog and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her services to any dog owner.

Colette has been a friend of mine for the last 20 years, and has had dogs as long as I can remember. She has taken care of my dog Belle many times over the years for weekends and even a week at a time. When Belle was younger Colette would take her out for daily hikes, give her lots of cuddles, and provided an safe and caring environment that any dog owner would appreciate. As Belle has gotten older and full of arthritis, Colette would adapt her routine to suit Belle’s needs. Belle would get massages, shorter manageable walks, and always lots of sweet talking. I highly recommend considering Colette for your dog sitting needs. She will be sensitive to both you and your dogs needs. She is very good about maintaining communication with those of us (and our dogs) who are feeling anxious about being apart. She is a true lover of all dogs, an outdoor enthusiast, and all around fabulous person. Go away and feel assured that your dog is in excellent hands with Colette!

A dogs personality is important. As we have a pup in the house, your dog must be tolerant and accepting. Any preferences, allergies, old injuries, fears...would need to be known.
