Pet care experience
I have always had pets both growing up and into adulthood (primarily dogs, but also kitties). My love for animals lead me to accept a position at a veterinary hospital which I held for approximately 6 months before pursuing a master's degree in psychology. I also volunteered for a local no-kill animal shelter and one of my responsibilities was walking dogs. I love all sizes of dogs, however I am most comfortable walking small to medium sized dogs, which I specified on my profile. I have lived with/owned dogs including shih-tzus, bichon frises', a welsh corgi, and a yellow labrador, so walking dogs of a smaller size is more within my comfort zone. If you have any other questions I would be happy to answer them!

Coleen is a very kind and loving person. She has a real soft spot for dogs. I have two dogs, a shitzu and a golden doodle. She has often taken care of them for me. I trust her whole heartedly. She is extremely conscientious. I do not worry at all about my pets when she takes care of them. They are in excellent hands!
Coleen is HUGE animal lover, especially dogs. To her, they are family not pets. Your dogs will fall in love with her, I guarantee it.
Coleen has always had a compassionate connection with animals from a young age. She has a strong work ethic, very responsible and reliable. She has taken stray cats in and found good home for them. I would highly recommend Coleen.

Generally speaking, I treat my own pet and anyone else's pet like a child. If I am walking your dog or checking in on your dog or cat, you can be confident that alertness, socialization, and patience are always my priority.
Information Coleen T. would like to know about your pet
Again, small to medium dogs are preferred, however I have no breed preferences. I would simply need to know what your dog enjoys (favorite toys, etc.) and of course if they have any aggression (with other people or animals). If they have any food restrictions/specifications I would be happy to follow them if that is one of my responsibilities. And of course any medical concerns that I should be aware of in the case of an emergency.
A typical day
My goal is to let your pet get a taste of nature while on their walks. With permission and dependent on location I would love to seek out trails and go on "nature" walks. If you have an older pet and they cannot walk as far I would be happy to walk a short distance and sit on a bench with them to people-watch! In regards to activities I will play fetch until your pet is content. Again, if your pet is a little older, or is limited with activity, I would be just as happy to cuddle with them!

Availability
I currently work a full-time job from home during normal business hours. My pet care availability is primarily on weekends, but I will also accept requests for evenings during weekdays (after 6:00 p m.) or mornings before 8:00 a.m. (please inquire via message if you are interested in a time that is not listed on my calendar).
