I have many years experience with animals. By the age of 8 I was raising chickens for 4-h, then moved up to lambs by the age of 15. During high-school, I volunteered at the Houston Zoo as a “Zoo Crew” member, basically a Zoo Keeper. I have volunteered at the Wildlife Refuge Center many times and many no-kill dog shelters. I also worked at a vet clinic in my early 20's. I grew up with dogs, cats, hamsters, ferrets, sugar gliders, and livestock of all kinds. I currently have a cat named princess whom just reached 13 yrs old, she’s my baby. With a lifetime of animal experience I have learned all creatures have souls. I am 32 yrs old and working on my post-bachelors degree, my expenses are high but income is super low. I am doing this to help my school financial situation, plus I love animals, this is perfect for me. Currently, pet sitting at the pet owners home is most ideal for me. I do prefer larger and medium sized dogs, elderly and disabled animals, and cats (indoor or outdoor). However, tiny dogs aren't always the best match for me, unless they're cool like Cheeto who is mentioned in one of my testimonials. Ill animals (physically or psychologically) are a great match for me. Due to my background and experience, I have learned to understand a certain je ne sais quoi about animals with special needs. If your animal is medicated, I do not mind medicating the animal with no additional charges. Please feel comfortable as I have worked as a Veterinary Technician & Animal Handler for a few years, plus additional experience medicating my own pets and livestock. Special needs animals of all kinds are welcome, I especially like deaf and/or elderly animals. Please be aware my home service will include as many visits as required, however, I will not sleep overnight at the customers home unless we have built a relationship. I do not mind taking care of your home and/or visiting your animal as much as possible, however, for my safety and comfort, overnight service is provided only to limited customers. I only accept jobs within 5 miles of my own home, in case of emergency I can be at your home within minutes. Currently, my cat has lymphoma, we are doing in-home hospice. In order to reduce her stress and maintain her peace through death, I am not accepting any animals into MY home for care.
