I’ve kept cats, dogs, lizards, frogs, and birds as personal pets over the years. My current pet family includes a very vocal Cockatiel and an Indian Ringneck Parrot. I have 8 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician working primarily in emergency medicine. Not only do I aim to keep your pet happy, but I will also do my best to ensure their health and safety as well. I have experience providing nursing care to special needs, geriatric animals, and infant animals, as well as the administration of oral and injectable medications. I have years of work experience providing medical boarding care to animals of various life and health stages. If your animal suffers from a chronic illness I will make sure that symptoms are monitored and intervention takes place if necessary while you’re away. I have professional experience with all animals, including some exotics should that be applicable (I especially love working with birds). I’m trained in first aid and cpr should that be necessary. I know what a true emergency is and will not hesitate to act if an animal in my care requires a veterinarian visit. At the end of the day my number one goal is to keep the animals I care for happy. How that shows up for each client is unique and can be tailored as such. I love animals and treat each that I care for as I would hope for my own to be treated. For this reason I prefer redirection and reward based behavior modalities when working with animals. I refuse to use punishment based training, choke collars, or shock collars while caring for your animal.
