Vizsla owner loves puppy play mates
Pet care experience
I’m a long time flight attendant so safety and caregiving is second nature to me, but the animal care aspect is recent with the addition of our family pet, a super friendly Vizsla poodle mix in spring of 2018. Our puppy Redmond loves puppy play mates, and I enjoy long walks on the Broadlands trails picking up poop. We added Ruby, our Golden doodle in spring 2021, and together my pups are great at distracting your pup from thinking about being away from their family. We have two boys who will help us rub your dog’s tummy and scratch their ears, and my younger son is notorious for sneaking around giving out dog biscuits. If your dog loves (or tolerates) kids and wants 2 energetic puppy buddies to run around with, then we are the dog sitting family for you! I’m happy to accommodate special diets, or give medicine to your awesome pup, and we will treat them like another member of our family. Caveat: as much as I LOVE dogs of all breeds and ages, I must have a cutoff at age 10 for senior dogs mainly because we live on the second level of our townhouse and my senior dog guests have proven to me over and over they can’t give me enough notice to get them outside in time to avoid accidents. My rates are cheap, so this means that I can only take dogs that fit into our family. I’m happy to give medicine, but any dog that’s used to ground level living with a back door and a fenced yard has a tough time in my house as we live on the second floor and every walk has to be leashed. Please no senior (over 10) dogs or dogs used to ground floor living. Thanks for understanding!
Reviews
Cody went above and beyond to care for our sweet girl Zoey. She and her family surpassed my expectations, and I am very appreciative of the love they showed her daily. From the multiple daily walks, to putting her in a raincoat as needed, endless playtime with other dogs, and cuddles on the couch, it was perfect, and Zoey was in heaven. Cody was also great at sending us plenty of pictures and video. Being out of the country for a week, there was peace of mind knowing that Zoey was in great hands. We will definitely use her services again.
Thank you Cody for taking great care of my dog
This was Auggie’s first time away from us and Cody and her family took great care of him while we were away on vacation. Highly recommended!
Harley came home so happy. Cody did an awesome Job and sent a ton of pics. We will definitely call her again!

Our Ruby goes in her crate when we are out, and we separate Red by putting him upstairs or by keeping your dog in his crate. Our dogs enjoy 4-5 walks daily, between 20-60 minutes long, so our best guests enjoy long walks on tangled leashes all around Broadlands!

We love all breeds and ages, but I must start saying no to those senior dogs who don’t like stairs as we have a flight of stairs to get to our front door, and all of my senior dog guests haven’t had enough time between the bladder alarm and the accidents, so no dogs over 10 years old please, unless your senior pup lives on the second level in your house and can run up and down stairs easily. Same goes for any dog who is any age and currently lives on the ground level with a back door to a fenced yard: we will love your pup from afar but we can’t watch them because we’ve had too many guests who have about a 15 second notification between the bladder alarm and the accidents in my house because we can’t get leashes on and out the door fast enough. Thanks for understanding!
A typical day
We typically integrate your dog into our daily routine, which involves a first walk at about 6:00 am weekdays and about 7:00 am weekends, with breakfast at around 10:00 am followed by another nice walk. We prefer the longer walks, but obviously if it’s raining the walks get shortened. Red & Ruby love to wrestle in my living room and your pup is welcome to join in!
