Pet care experience
Your less-typical species will be in good hands! From pets of all types to livestock and wildlife, I've been surrounded by animals my entire life (and helping care for them for over 30 years). Do you have pocket pets? Birds? Bunnies? I would love to hear about your critters and what they need while you're away! I've taken classes in pet first aid and basic wildlife rehabilitation, worked at the Humane Society and volunteered in wildlife husbandry at the Center for Wildlife in York, Maine. I am a certified Reiki level I practitioner, and the focus of my reiki practice is in caring for the animals in my life.

You can be sure Cody will provide reliable, attentive, loving care for your pet. She has been an animal lover since she was a child and, as an adult, has a wide variety of pets. Her dog, chickens, finches and canaries, turtles, and fish all have elaborate habitats. Her dog, Jeremy, is a rescue/adoption who Cody has carefully nurtured. She has even sought out and applied medical treatments to her hens following injuries from a hawk attack.
Cody is one of the kindest and most dedicated animal lover I have ever met. She will go to any length to make sure that her pets and other animals are taken care of to whatever end they need. She is well educated but still always seeking to learn more about various critters, their needs, treating ailments, and behaviors. She cares deeply about their enrichment and happiness and goes above and beyond with making sure that well taken care of. There is nobody that I would trust more with the care of my own pets than her.

My animals enjoy the run of the fenced yard and the house, but nearly all can be enclosed in their habitats when that's the best arrangement for you. Currently I have one mellow, passive black lab; an extroverted young cat; a small flock of chickens who think they are lap cats; a flock of rescue pigeons; an indoor aviary of small birds; and a large aquarium housing three turtles and one bazillion guppies. I make sure everyone gets their preferred style of attention daily, whether that's individual snuggle time or just a check-in and a smile.
